The late Derek Davis and Big Tom were great buddies. I miss Derek a lot :(

When I saw Big Tom, I said "He looks like Derek Davis".....coincidence?

I never understand why they don't let it over run by half an hour when it's going good. Gay would do this regularly.

No, not at all. Lots of people thought they were related, Derek used to jokingly refer to Tom as his cousin.

30 mins of Tubs trying to wing it . I'd watch for the pure comedy factor. Lad has to have his cards surgically removed after the show :pac:

Derek's first big break was doing a skit of Big Tom.

He was a great entertainer, and a good journalist too. Sadly missed.

Gaybo had Late Late Extra at 7.30 on Sunday evenings. Nowadays we get triple repeats of Dermot Bannon on Sunday evenings.

I like a lot of C&W, but not country & Irish, it's very similar, very tacky.

I'd usually listen to Rock, Punk or post punk.

I loved Derek, I remember staying up late to watch his current affairs programme 'Davis' as a teenager, he was a very talented broadcaster/journalist.

I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I had to share an office for a few years with a guy who spoke exactly like Derek.......oh happy days :)

Enjoyed that LLS to be honest. Brought out the latent Culchie in me.

In fairness, I think the Late Late Show has upped it's act quite a bit recently.
