    Don’t get to post much as I normally go to gym at 530am when no one is about, wasn’t up to it this morning so felt guilty all day.
    Anyhow there is a lad here beside me on the rack, bench combo. He does three reps, moves the bench again. Takes breaks in betwee, watching videos full blast, yapping on phone & eating a sponge cake...crumbs everywhere...

    This is made up right

    Why does gym music need to be so loud ? It's so annoying , most people are wearing headphones anyway , don't get it!

    Or even worse when a class starts they pump it up 4 million percent over the already annoyingly loud volume so your earphones can no longer block it out.

    Thats an incredible amount of water for anyone to consume even in an entire day !!

    Yes, I would think anyone who needs that level of hydration in that short a time (a gym session) probably should be in A&E.

    tbh I'd class someone taking pics of other gym goers as more annoying than someone lying on the astro for 15 mins. it's not like he's hogging equipment

    "Twas the month before Christmas, when all through the gym
    Not a creature was stirring, not even a newbie;
    The towels were hung by the squat rack with care,
    In hopes that St. Gainz soon would be there;
    The gym rats were nestled all snug on their yoga mats,
    While visions of biceps danced in their heads "

    Picture deleted. Please don't pictures of other people, even with the faces partially obscured

    Not annoying and not inside a gym, so more of a bizarre sight...

    Was stopped at traffic lights on a busy road today. At the side of the road, there was a guy in full jogging gear (leggings, hi vis jacket etc), lying on two electricity boxes doing dumbbell flyes.

    The more I thought of it, the more strange I thought it was. Where did he get the dumbbells? Was he jogging with them in his hand or in a backback I didn't see? Or did he find them on the side of the road and decided to go for a random chest pump? And why the hell was he doing this on electricity boxes on the side of the road?

    I saw something similar last weekend. A middle aged guy. Lying on an electricity box on the side of a busy road. No dumbbells but he was doing sit ups or similar. Looked extremely uncomfortable and it was dark and wet and on the side of a very busy road and just plain odd

    Have been trying to shake a bad cold and flu for approx. 4 weeks now and it's seriously messing with my gym attendance. Went on Friday morning for the first time in approx. 4 weeks and after showering as I was getting changed 2 20something guys came out of the shower area wearing towels around their bodies like women wear them.......

    There's a guy in my gym who walks around the changing room in a dressing gown in the style of Zap Brannigan from Futurama. I nearly fell off the threadmill when I saw him.

    If you're on this thread you look stupid

    Just weird.

    They could have been self-conscious about their bodies or were trying to hide scars or something?

    I admittedly wore a towel like this in the hopes it would hide the fact I was a fat bastard, though have stopped since I lost a bit of weight :o

    I didn't realise I was annoying people! :(

    Nope, no scars and they weren’t remotely overweight. Judging by their posing and hair and grooming routines these two don’t suffer from any lack of confidence etc. It was clearly a conscious decision to wear them like this and they succeeded in looking like twats.

    Had they been overweight etc. I’d have cut them some slack on it btw and not mentioned it. I’m not totally heartless and incompassionate - just mainly so. ;)

    Couple of lads in my gym. They stare at lads in the changing rooms really intensely, studying them. Properly creepy.

    Yesterday I literally had to open 9 lockers with no locks on, that it then transpired were actually being used, before I found an empty one. So annoyed by it that I even counted them!

    Go into pound city or dealz and buy 10 locks. It’ll be the most satisfying €20 you ever spent :)

    Yup, that’s what I said alright. :rolleyes: you should give Ciara Kelly a call....she’d love your victim mentality and exaggeration.

    :pac::rolleyes:

    Few lads in my gym are really bad at taking harmless jokes as well.

    That's nothing!

    Yesterday, I figuratively opened 15 lockers with no locks on.

    I didn't need one cos I just throw my bag on a shelf but I was nosey.

    Probably not a vain twat and not overly concerned with what other people think of him.

    I'd say he'd almost certainly not react by going into histrionics and banging on about Ciara Kelly for some reason either.
