He kind of made a good point about Anderson turning to steroids all of a sudden this late in the game, instead of sticking what got him to the dance,I want to believe he took them over the injury to the leg but I dunno,

Anyways Mike is no saint himself I remember him spitting into one of his opponents corners before.

I think its very solid logic in regards Silvas juicing, and hard to argue with he is saying here.He was no angel but he had some tough luck with running into the main known juicers in most of his losses.

But i do think he has a very good shot at Silva here more based on where Silva is at,neither fighter are close to what they were but Silva looked super rusty and slow last time out and he is a year older and maybe clean this time,it all depends on what Silva we see but i got a feeling he will look old slow and Bisping will eventually take control with his output.

The concern i would have from Bispings point of view is that eye,i get he must have solid vision to get passed by the commission, but in the Dollaway fight he kept getting popped by Dolloway on that side and it was like he wasn't seeing the punches coming, but overall i think Bisping is far closer to a top ranked fighter than Silva is right now.

I dont think the Diaz fight is as bad as what people make it out to be,Diaz is a awkward fight for anybody,Anderson done nothing special but he won now he was juicing so it was a nc to be fair,I know hes 40 too and age catches up with everybody but Bisping is no young buck himself he has pillow hands too,

CB dropped Bisping surely to god once Anderson hasnt gone to the dogs he disposes him with his accuracy,I think he wins on decision Silva but if hes overturned it wont be any surprise ive seen it all now in mma for any result to shock me,

Anyone know the exact time the fight is due on at? I'll be at Bamma but if its late I could catch it maybe in town.

Don't think so man.Think its just for their new online BBC3 channel which can't be viewed here as they recently shut down the cable channel of BBC3.

Also i am not positive but i think its just pre fight and post fight coverage they bought, not actual fight coverage.

I knew it was on the online channel, but I assumed it included the broadcast of the show.
The deal will include coverage of all the European, Middle East and Asian shows with the option of buying additional international shows.
But sounds like you are right and it excludes broadcast. If it doesn't include the events whats the point? What exactly have they paid for? The rights to use highlight clips pre/post fight. Lol anticlimax there from the BBC

I like Bisping but he has very little chance here.

Silva KO round 2....unless he plays around with him a little bit to teach him a lesson.

Yeah, you're def wrong on the broadcast for now but UFC hasn't had much promotion in the UK at all of late. Even yesterday they did an event at tower bridge with Big Nog and Rockhold where they packed up early as people weren't showing up. Can see BBC coverage after the deal following BT sports ends, maybe even delayed-broadcasts earlier than that.

Pretty sure I heard that BBC will also be producing some video content for the UFC. Could be the channel for a future euro-TUF. Any MMA content on a free-to-air channel is going to be great for the sport.

It's annoying this isn't on BT one of the few shows on at a reasonable time to watch and free for a lot of people in the UK.

I always thought Bisping has come across very well.

Never understood the hatred for him from International fans.

Yeah never really got the hate against Bisping. He seems like an alright guy and was nice when I met him years ago.

He has a tremendous work ethic that has kept him up in and around top 5 in his division for a long time. Technically he is solid everywhere and I enjoy watching him fight. He is not the most powerful but not everyone can be.

There should be no excitment or any hope put into a BBC deal. They're sports coverage is completely amateurish and should be left back in the 1980s where their attitudes come from. The BBC have virtually gave up on sports coverage, in the last couple of years they have dropped F1, Rugby & BDO world darts which were 3 of their mainstays. I think the UFC deal is just so they can paper claim they are still showing X amount of hours worth of sport.

i think it stems from his time on the ultimate fighter. As a fighter he was annoying but as a coach he was a complete areshole.

Even Henderson, who is a pretty chill guy just couldn't stand him. When they eventually fought, Henderson knocked him out, but then threw that vicious punch when Bisping was already KO on the mat. He said afterwards that was payback for being a complete and utter prick on the show.

    The weigh-ins could be interesting.

If I'm Bisping I'm bringing Viagra and throwing at Silva during the face-off :pac:

That was when i started to grow to dislike Henderson, yeah Bisping played up the USA UK rivalry, and was always ragging at Henderson and team USA,purely for ratings imo.

Bisping like Conor always got the ratings aspect, one of the reasons hes always being one of the highest paid fighters in the UFC,he knows how to sell fights.

How Henderson behaved afterwards always stuck with me,he coulda been more sporting and showed some respect.

Cant believe this is not live on BT.

1st time in how long a main event is at prime time for a large tv audience and they have it online .

Time would of been perfect aswel just before the Frampton/Quigg fight that has no undercard

Poor Forest will never escape the ol Silva question. Also, Overeem said him and Arlovski aren't friends so it's not big deal fighting him. They do share the same sense of craic though, as in zero.

Reebok need to be paying those kids a few more pennies, make hoodies where the zips actually work. Poor ol Norman

Anyone know if Norman Parke managed to tout any tickets for this event?

It's not touting Paully, he was doing the fans a favour really. The highest bidder obviously means they're the biggest fan so they deserve it the most, it's the only way to tell if it's a true fan.

He'd probably even throw in a free signed poster as part of the deal... just add an additional €150 on top to cover P&P and it's yours.

A real salt of the earth kinda fella.

Just watched the weigh in. My god, Breese is a giant at WW. When I saw him in Dublin I didn't really get as much of an appreciation of his sheer size as he was in against Pendred, who himself was quite a substantial size for the weight class. But I was genuinely stunned at the size of him today. Scary.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 7,269 ✭✭✭Gamebred

Tom Breese is going to the very top without a doubt their building him nicely too,he has that amatuer boxing backround like Conor southpaw aswell and hits like a truck,he can grapple too think hes a purple seen him compete in big tournaments and do well.

Jesus Bisping really went for it at the weigh ins,I personally think hes doing his best to pysch himself up and make himself believe that he can beat silva (no harm in it) but I sense insecurity.

UFC is a business though, not a charity. This is their way of increasing Fight Pass subscribers, which you can get free for a week.
