Welsh scrum in trouble and it's more or less their first choice front row against our second choice, once Joubert finally allowed a contest on the Welsh put in they were well beaten.

Wales are really going to struggle in Twickenham, I don't see them getting out of their group based on this showing.

We need to stop trying that little inside pop pass. It hasn't worked yet, Wales are reading us like a book.

The free-for-all nature of the breakdown means we're getting a lot of slow ball, and the half backs are a bit rusty...when we do manage to play at pace, we look like we're well able four Wales. Expect us to kick on in the second half now.

Is Shaggy having a stroke? I know toddlers that speak more coherently.

At the game. Drab atmosphere (ish).
Even before the try, Henderson and strauss were the picks for me. Both kearneys doing well too.

Henderson is the closest thing Ireland have had to a dynamic (retalick) style lock in a while, and I love it.

He sounds like a teenager being questioned in court.

    Ironically isn't he a barrister? :D

Y'know, I think this is great.
It's exactly the kind of match we need to play at this stage in WC preparation.

We've really struggled in games where we're completely closed down for space and being smashed on the gain-line; if we're going to get beaten in the WC this would probably have been how.
It's a golden opportunity to learn how to deal with that and will really benefit us in a months time.

He has a law degree from Portobello, didn't think he'd qualified legally though but I wouldn't really know.

Did the masters in Trinity and in a practice over in your neck of the woods.

Good to see Ireland bringing ROG on at half-time, great kick to the corner.

Cuthbert is an absolute liability in the kicking game, it's mad he's kept his place so long!

He got a masters in trinity and works in slaughter and may, as a solicitor in an English firm.

The ref is ignoring Wales at the breakdown, in from the side, not supporting their weigh in the rucks!

Make sure the cables in the back are screwed in tightly, then press services 04 on your remote, if the 2nd input says not locked press services 001 select, and put single feed mode on.

    Huh?

How was Jenkins supporting his body weight?

He was lying on top on players at one point.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,212 ✭✭✭✭Buer

How the utter hell did CJ award that penalty? At one point, Jenkins was lying on the ruck and had actually taken his feet clean off the ground. Mad.

Aside from that, really sloppy play from us. POM got a rush of blood and ran miles away from his support and then McGrath marched back in contact.

Joubert has the be the poorest ref in the top tier when it comes to breakdowns.
