2-5-3 chip activated - 3 of my 5 defenders are not starting so I had no choice (or so I tell myself). Plus I left Mahrez on the bench last weekend

Banked the transfer so I can sort out defence next week.

    Stekelenburg

    Bellerin
    Yoshinda

    Hazard
    Sterling
    Payet
    Mahrez
    Henderson

    Rooney
    Kane
    Pelle

3 none playing defenders on bench - Mings, Saylor and Senderos (Senderos. . FFS, what was I thinking)

    Set up with:

    Ruddy
    Azpi--Coates--Mertesacker
    Sterling--Payet--Ibe--Cabaye
    Rooney--Kane--Benteke (c)

    Bench: Hennessey, Fabregas, Bassong, Taylor

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

    Myhill
    Bellerin--Gomez--Targett
    Ozil--Hazard--Sterling--Depay
    Sakho--Rooney--Benteke(c)

    Hennessy, Coates, Huth, Bentaleb

Transfer banked. The only decision I'm trying to make is Targett vs. Coates for a starting place. I don't trust Sunderland after last weekend, so I think this is how I'll line up.

Seems like it. A lot of people planned to roll it to allow Aguero in for free so makes sense. Many will probably end up going the same captain next week with Rooney home to Newcastle and then wave good bye to him when Kun comes in for Watford.

    Coates,Bellrin,Cedric.

Really tempted to play all out attack chip with Fabregas likely to play at 10 if Oscar fails to recover (doubtful)

Question is which defender to drop?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,101 ✭✭✭AidySevenfold

    McCarthy

    Clyne Coates Bellerin

    Hazard Payet Sterling Chadli

    Pelle (C) Rooney Benteke

    Subs: Ruddy, Huth, Sinclair, S.Taylor

    Coates.

I think this could be a record week of banking the transfer

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,307 ✭✭✭DarraghF197

    Cech

    Cresswell Koscielny Clyne (VC)

    Fabregas Cazorla Gnabry Mane

    Pelle (C) Kane Defoe

    Subs: Guzan Baines Williams Bolasie

Why? Surely they can't be as bad as last week.

Just wish one had a harder game to make it easy

    Ruddy
    Mert - Coates - Shaw
    Cabaye - Hazard - Sterling - Özil
    Sakho - Rooney - Benteke

Not sure who to captain between Rooney and Benteke, probably look at the polls at about 6.30 and decide based on them.

    Butland
    Huth
    Anya
    S. Taylor

    The polls?

Thinking of doing it myself. Especially with Walcott due to drop in price tonight. May transfer him out after the deadline and before the price drops.

Full-back Gael Clichy is also back in contention after overcoming a recent ankle problem #MCFC

Depending on fitness there is decent chance he'll play on Sunday. These are the kind of tighter games Pellegrini used to keep him for.

One of the few playing with 10 this week.

    Bellerin-Huth- Cedric
    Hazard-Payet-Sterling-Walcott
    Wilson-Rooney-Benteke

Did Payet for Ritchie and gonna wait on Courtois.

Have Benteke captain ATM , Rooney leads the FFS poll and Benteke leads the Boards poll...DECISIONS!!

I'm surprised by the Benteke love here

We have Arsenal and United away in the next 4 GW's

I'm holding onto Pellé as Southampton have much better fixtures (albeit on paper)

I agree. He's just such a good captain option this week its scary not owning him. But looking back at the fixtures I'm reminding myself why i have Kane instead.

    Pantillimon
    Bellerin Azpilicueta
    Fabregas Walcott Mahrez Depay Sterling
    Rooney Deeney Benteke(c)

    Ward Mings Saylor

2-5-3 activated, I really made an arse of picking cheap defenders.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,257 ✭✭✭OneColdHand

Will be lining out as follows:

    McCarthy

    Mertesacker - Bassong - Coates

    Hazard - Ozil - Mane - Henderson

    Rooney - Benteke (C) - Sakho

    Subs: Courtois - Bentaleb - Francis - S. Taylor

After my atrocious start to the season, I'm quite nervous about this GW. Haven't made any transfers. If I can be (even slightly) above the average for the week I'll be happy and will go into GW3 with 2 free transfers and 2.5m in the bank.

Mings not starting has f'ed me up too. Saylor I have too but I knew he was risky.
    I've gone 2-5-3 as well.

Can I be an arsehole and register my annoyance with people referring to the team they support as 'we'.

I don't have a clue who you support, I can't see the jersey you are no doubt wearing, I don't want to have to read through your post in painstaking detail to decipher which team you are referring to, just write Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Norwichwink.png etc.

    Rant over

For me it's his upcoming home games: BOU, WHAM, NOR, VIL in the next 6 games. Will see how he does on Monday, but could be real captain material for those games.

Although I wouldn't captain for the away games. He's capable of scoring against any team.

[Swiper, this next bit is for you]
Certainly, when he used to play for us, we used to find that he could score against all kinds of team. We used to love when he scored against the big team for us, even though we aren't a big team!

    Liverpool and Aston Villa.

Anybody else want to test me out, I'm good at this:p
