I like these new upcoming updates. We should have seen the Super Expert mode coming in 100 Mario Challenge. It's how our levels are described if they've under 1% completion rate I think. I hope this helps rakes
out some of the trolls in Expert mode.

Super Mario Maker – Mashiko costume incoming

Mary O, is Super Mario Maker’s manual guide. There'll be Event Courses for Mashiko and Wolf Link soon. They were uploaded earlier but quickly deleted as they weren't meant to be up yet. I presume the Wolf Link course will only let you play with the costume in that course as I thought it's tied to the corresponding amiibo.

Super Mario Maker version 1.40 is now live. The Event Course Mashiko's Lunch Break is also available.

Check the image below if you want to see all the costumes added in today's update.

They're unlockable through the 100 Mario Challenge mode.

Twilight Princess HD Event Course is now available. It's pretty cool and it does unlock the costume for regular use in the game. I thought it might be tied to the amiibo.

Here is an overview of the course...
''While exploring the Twilight Realm in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, somehow Link and Midna’s souls have found their way into Super Mario Maker.

Now, to protect peace throughout all worlds, they must seal away a new menace – Bowser Jr., who has split himself in three!''

Super Mario Maker version 1.41 is out now supposedly. I think a few sites may have jumped the gun & posted too early. I just refreshed the Course.....($h1t my memory's gone) and it says it's undergoing maintenance. I think Toadette will be live after the update.

Would they ever stop with these costumes and give us Slopes?

Playing these Event Courses I've noticed it's the same person setting the records for the last 4 courses with what I think are impossible times. Like the Toadette level today, I completed it in 50 seconds but they did it in 35 seconds, I don't believe it's physically possible and think they must be hacking. Or am I missing something?

It stinks now that you have to complete the course in order to star it.

I would star yours if I could Sligeach but yours are very confusing to complete.

Looks like Nintendo is trying its best to kill the SMM community.

A prolific creator/speedrunner has had all his levels nuked by Nintendo.

If creators are putting 10s (or 100s) of hours into creating great content and Nintendo can remove it on a whim, why should people bother creating it in the first place?

It's happened to me, not all my levels but a few. It's partly why I'm reluctant to make long levels now. That and people are stingy when it comes to handing our stars.

I give stars to every level I play, no matter if I find it annoying or exceptionally hard because the people took their time to make the levels that they deserve stars - so they can upload more! Thanks to this update, now I can't do that anymore unless I complete them.

People have become much stingier when it comes to stars. About the same number of people are playing my levels but the play to star ratio seems to have dropped off in a huge way.

Starfy and a new Event Course will be unlockable later in the week.

Super Mario Maker just had an update. No idea what it did, none of the sites have details yet. It was a very small update, possibly new amiibo skins.

Only heard of them last month when saw them on the cover of a metal magazine.
Haven't watched the above videos since they're blocked at work but to me they sound just like standard JPop over heavy metal type music

That's basically what they are CastorTroy, JPop vocals over Heavy metal music. They're not bad i've listened to em a few times and they're getting bigger in the US/EU as they've been on the likes of Conan in the US and are touring a lot.

Saw them play in the SSE Wembley last month and it was a fantastic show, they sold it out with over 15000 people at it.

Have a brilliant night of mario maker last night. 3 of us local multiplaying it. Had 5 mins to make a stage with up to 8 items picked my the other two. They'd piss off out of the room while you made it and came back to try and pass it with 3 lives.
Had a couple of great stages, considering the constraints.
It really is a great game.

I wonder will there be a super mario maker world for the nx. With the ability to make worlds and have overworld maps.
