Can't believe they changed their minds and gave the assist. Rooney should never get an assist there, he was dispossessed.

I wonder if Rooney was out on the wing and put the ball in would they have given him the assist. Imo if they were going to give an assist it should have been to whoever put that ball into the box.

They set a precedent with that ridiculous Sturridge assist last season now everything has to be given.

Breaking News!!!! Edgaston has a second team under a pseudonym that he changed to northern ireland to join toals and a few others including my local pub one which i will get him disqualified for if he wins as its for customers only.

I write this because i know he is following this forum and will read this.

Its a waste of time joining leagues that your entry is invalid for. Will have to have a chat with the admin for my local to let him know about the shark activity of people joining it. Im keeping a close eye on my local leagues going forward and will report any other opportunists too that have been scouting me if they are in winning positions and provide no custom to these local businesses

    Report that sh*t

7 points ain't too bad and he played quite well. Wouldn't be too quick to offload him

Rooney did not play quite well.

He done well first half, went out of the game a bit second half, but I'm still holding onto him for the next two weeks anyway

They didn't change their minds, it wasn't as if they were like, that's not an assist and then say oh wait it is. They always do that to not clear cut assists. And according to the rules it was an assist.

As a centre forward, he showed absolute no threat. The goal was handed on a plate to United by Bentaleb, and he still made a balls of it by taking a touch. He looks slow and lethargic. He'll probably kick in at some point, but I'm not confident.

Making Walker kick it the wrong way he nailed that!

None of United's attackers looked especially good, the link up play could improve though, it's only the start of the season. They moved the ball quite slowly and had very few runs in behind but controlled it well and rarely looked like being in trouble on turnovers. I might get in a defender sometime in the near future, rotation worries me though.

That's the way it is unfortunately, there's a huge element of luck with some assists (goals also) but the rules are the rules, if Rooney touched it last then he gets the assist, it doesn't matter which player is involved.

They've still time to buy a quality forward yet though, never rely on Rooney!

Since when? Not a United fan but he's been one of the most consistent performers in the PL for a number of years. Didn't have a great day today but I wouldn't be writing him off yet.

Tbh when you put it like that, I suppose he didn't do too well. I just thought he looked good on the ball at times, in the first half. I think if youngs delivery had been a bit better, he could have had a few more chances. I'll be holding on to him for the next week or two, but ultimately, he is part of my aguero plan

I miss my broadband. Moved house a few months ago and haven't got broadband, this standing out in the garden, trying to get snails pace internet connection to see if Lukaku has started against Watford is not good for me :(

Dont think Rooney is a lone striker in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 system.

Schmeical is on fire. Defoe, Kaboul and Rodwell all with good chances.

He's taking the piss at this stage as he's lurking in the shadows here trying to take advantage as well as trolling FHFC to the point where he is afraid to join leagues for fear of opportunism by edgbaston. Several others are at this too as i was seeing lots of boardsies in my local league.

I really regret posting the multitude of leagues that i did. I wanted to help out the community but a sizeable number of people took advantage of my personal leagues. Due to this poor behaviour i will not make that same mistake next year

Sickener. I had Vardy and changed him for Lambert at the last minute. Lambert probably won't start.

    Nice, have Vardy

    Vardy Van firing up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,886 ✭✭✭stephenl15

Was looking at Vardy, went for Sakho in the end due to competition up front at Leicester and had Mahrez. Oh well, it's only one goal :)

Definitely the sensible move. If Vardy has more points than Sahko after GW3 it'll be a bit of a surprise.
