Ya, was parked up for a while, just something small holding it back, so close to jumping into life. Nice of the mechanic to open it up for us, even though he knew well there wasn't going to be any sale.

Here's another of the engine, I'll embed more later, on the phone now. 4 exhaust pipes out of it. Stainless steel piping throughout. Restored to a pristine condition. All red leather inside.

Ah I know just when you said it didn't turn over.. It reminded me of that line from the fast and the furious...

So the better half gave birth to our second daughter this morning very proud I am :) home for a quick sleep to pick up our toddler and go visit her little sister.

Car related when driving a woman in labor it's very liberating to know if the gards do pull you it will result in an escort and not points :D

For that reason you should always get the missus to stuff a pillow under her clothes when out for a drive.

A Sligo man named Noel Jinks was convicted for driving on a public road with agricultural diesel in his jeep and his explanation is comical.

When Jinx was questioned in April, he claimed his nephew put green diesel in his jeep by accident because... wait for it... the young lad was ‘heavily stoned on weed’ that morning and made a mistake.

Anyone ever made a harness bar on here?
The e36 has its first track day at the end of the month and seat and harnesses are a necessity.

I have ideas but wondering if someone has concrete history of making one?

So was offered a new job today :D I'll be given my own van which I'll have the run of 7 days a week. No weekly fuel costs or commuting anymore. Yay! But what to do with the S60. Should it stay or should it go? I'm thinking the latter. Replace it with something nice for the weekends maybe. Hmmm

That's what I'm thinking. And I'll have plenty of time to wait for the right something to pop up :D

Got mahself a new tyre this evening. Another michelin. The rim is a bit damaged, always was, but there's a crack starting to appear on it, just by the skin of my teeth the air is staying in I'd say. Suppose I need to get it sorted if I can...

Congrats it must of been a good month for job offers the contract arrived in Kilkenny for mine on Monday so just have to sign on the dotted line tomorrow which will be very weird my first full time proper job.

Are you going back sparking things seem to be picking up in construction in general. Best of luck with it. If it was me I'd probably buy something different as you could afford to get something with lower economy if it not going to be used only as a weekend car.

Well they are OEM so I doubt it, no reports online of it happening!

Also, Auto Heroes registration starts tomorrow if anyone is interested.

M3 and RS4 owners beg to differ on the OEM front :P

Hopefully they do ya good, you'd wanna be fairly cracking on for the whole day to kill them. Have you decent brake fluid in? That'll be the first to go.

I ain't planning on ripping the car on track but I will change it out ahead of the 31st, I just want to push a bit and have fun.

Now is your chance to buy a classic!
€56 tax and insurance around the €200 mark. For that you should be able to get something big, fun and petrol. Old V8 Merc maybe? Or, of course, a Jaaaag. (Ask Jimgoose on that one)
1970's Porsches are also very poular, or maybe something sporty? Nice MG, Triumph or maybe something more off the wall?

Christ! Boards slower than a 1980 T3 VW Transporter with the n/a 1.5 Golf diesel engine!

Should be good craic. Any sort of an organised day there is supposed to be far better than the public days.

Will have an engine into the alfa again tomorrow. Hopefully it takes well to the new one. A cracking little 147 1.6 going into it. Only thing worrying me is I have to use the 156 1.8 ecu because the immobilisers are completely different.
