    Just shy of 3hours.
    Yes.
No. Checked in for my first flight at 2pm Eastern on Wednesday (7pm Irish time). It’s now Saturday and still no sign of the bag. It’s “gone” now for sure, be that lost or stolen. But no confirmation either way from Aer Lingus.

Aer Lingus Customer Service is appalling btw. Baggage has been outsourced to a foreign call centre whose staff are not native English speakers and that adds to the difficulties.

I could go into more detail but I’ll bore people to death. I think I’ll call Mr. Duffy on Monday instead.

Were Jet Blue the inbound connecting flight?

    Correct caller.

    Correct caller.

Was your bag checked through to DUB.?

Was your bag checked through to DUB.?

    Yes indeed.

    Flights booked via aerlingus.com.
Direct out to the city I attended conference in on Aer Lingus, but flights are not daily to this city. Return Jet Blue to city B, with return to Dublin on Aer Lingus.

    Still nothing.

It sounds like you have some skin in this game?

No, but my bet is your bag will be delivered tomorrow.

    Don’t panic

Will be great if so but when I landed the lady at Guest Relations in Dublin Airport was very confused by my ticket numbers and baggage receipt and said they didn't match......so I think it's more than just a standard delay/lost in transit issue. The Aer Lingus Customer Service for baggage delays is based in Mumbai I've found out, and is beyond a joke. They hadn't even half of the info. I gave at the airport (to be fair that could have been Dublin failing to send it on) and seemed completely clueless. They were unable to answer any of my questions - not remotely customer centric.

So she was caught with a bagful of cocaine and the only shame she's expressed is that it was embarassing to be walked though the airport in handcuffs.

I have sympathy for people who become drug mules because they are trapped in poverty, trapped by huge debts, trapped because their families are being threatened.

Not for trash like this one.
