Using what sort of maths?

If you go back 11/12 months from today he’s fought 3 times.

And Aldo would have fought once in 23 months.

So using your maths Conor is twice as active as Aldo.

You’re cherry picking Conor’s stats (11.5 months FFS) to make it seem like Aldo isn’t that inactive but your methodology still shows he’s half as active as Conor during a quiet period for him.

Aldo isn’t an extremely active fighter, he’s stated that he likes fighting twice a year at max, there’s no need to try to cherry pick stats to tie him with known active fighters.

because he forgot an "L" at the end of his username. He is purely looking for a rise.

Every sport has lots of players who get injured constantly, some people are just more fragile than others and some won't compete if they're not feeling close to 100%. Some people will even play their sport through pain because of their mentality (some will say stupidity).

Totally different sport but Roy Keane said he could never understand players who wouldn't play with knocks or through the pain until he was sitting in his car in his mid thirties and couldn't get up out of it because his body was so broken. And that's football!

There's too much for Aldo to lose by competing injured, as shown above Jon Jones has pulled out a lot, he also wouldn't fight Sonnen on 2 weeks notice. For champs especially, the risk of fighting injured is not worth the reward, they've worked harder than any of us can imagine to get the belt and people want them to risk it all for us. Go **** yourself!

Apologies for daring to question the great infallible Aldo.

Aldo and the UFCs problem with him regarding not making enough money imo boils down to the very simple fact that he doesn't speak or attempt to speak English which severely limits his exposure particularly given the UFCs main market is English speaking countries.

I'd be considered by some here not a true MMA fan but I find that type of attitude laughable in the extreme. Even on a local level more people interested in the sport means more money for gyms, fights etc otherwise "your" sport dies.

I don't care if your friends with Conor or not your opinion is no more or less valid than mine or anyone else for that matter.

Finally, was Conor not carrying a far more serious injury than Aldo going into that fight?

Googled it and this came up:

    http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2015/7/7/8907669/mma-ufc-news-list-of-fighters-who-pull-out-of-the-most-fights

Aldo has 6 altogether including 1 in WEC. There's lads there with way more that have gone un-noticed! John Jones has 5, remember 1 or 2 but didn't think there were 5!

    Jones' 5 is misleading.
They are including UFC151 when Hendo got injured and Jones declined to fight Chael on a few days notice.
They are also including 177, which was announced prematurely then moved to 178, so not really a pull out. He pulled out of 178 though. Then the last one is the rumble hit after the hit and run, not a pull out he was removed.

So only 2 of the 5 are really pull outs due to injury.

Yeh, JK said it on the MMA hour. He said Conor had a pretty serious knee injury which was only fully healed up 2 weeks prior to the fight. He said they didn't want to risk it flaring up again in the 2 weeks leading up to the fight so they weren't able to train any full speed live wrestling.

He also said that when Aldo pulled, he thought maybe this would be a good time for Conor to pull out. He said Conor was having none of that though.

I think he was pointing out the double standards, Aldo proves he has a legit injury and gets called a pussy and coward by people, conors teams says he has an injury and it's accepted as gospel

I think reason most take it at face value from the Conor camp though is that this is the well known recurrent knee issue he has had since that fight when he injured his cruciate against Max Holloway.

Where in Aldo case there seems to be a case of the rib was bruised then broken or vice versa and alot of that has to with the various websites putting out misinformation and misquoting

Great record for aldo but in fairness he fights rarely on 7 fights in nearly 5 years.
