No, just the smell sickens me, and no one would want me if I had my pukey face on all the time anyway.

I don't think smokers realise how badly they smell. :(

No I couldn't do it as I absolutely hate the smell. If she was an occasional smoker I'd consider it, but generally it would be a deal breaker for me.

No, it's the one thing I can't budge on.

Sometimes I meet women in work who are very nice and attractive, but then at break time I see them going out for a smoke and it just completely turns me off.

I insist on any potential partner providing me with a full medical report before entering a solicitor-brokered contracted agreement to engage in a relationship.

    Exactly.

FFS what is it today? You meet someone you click, let's rock and roll, see where it goes - not get the checklist out.

I have done, cant say I noticed it too much. He didnt reak of stale smoke and neither did his house so it didn't bother me.
    Probably would again

Suuuuure, all the fellows who'd turn down Cheryl Cole, Jessica Alba, Miley Cyrus, Keira Knightley, Gwyneth Paltrow etc. etc.

    Gwyneth Paltrow smokes?

She has the most preachy new-agey-healthy-living-steam-your-privates-and-eat-macrobioticly-holier-than-thou-your-body-is-a-temple website ever, and she smokes?

    Hypocrite!

    They could do that too

Yes I would. Being a smoker does not define who you are. And if he had a hot body and a big mickey, all the better.

    Yep. Rarely, but she does.

She probably has the odd glass of wine and maybe even a chip or two. I wouldn't say they are the antithesis of "my body is a temple".

All women smoke, when I'm through with 'em.

I mean that they all 'physically' smoke, after I have rough sex'd them. Not that they all need to start smoking after the relationship ends in order to cope with the stress of having gone out with me.

    This.

Ah that's not really 'being a smoker'.

Not in the same league as a 20 a day habit. She's still a nutter, mind. :)

It would depend on how much they smoked - if it is just a casual/social smoker, then maybe, but, if not, then definitely no. I'm asthmatic, so would rather not be around that. Plus, let's face it, there's a horrible taste when you kiss someone that has just smoked.

I'd turn down most of them even if they didn't smoke.

Based on a scoring system, the smoking would reduce the overall score. However the candidate might have built up a large surplus of points with such attributes as young, slim, big boobs, no kids, not a divorcee etc. So the smoking could be overlooked.

Instant turn off, no matter of what else I like about her.

I wouldn't date a smoker even though I sometimes smoke.

For the same reason I wouldn;t date someone with the same job, hobbies or lifestyle as me. It would reinforce my bad habits.

We;d be so similar we'd just lie in bed all day talking about monetary policy and the racing at Bettystown, smoking cigarettes and listening to the radio. Our overworked cleaning lady would find us sprawled out, fat and dead from smoking too many cigarettes, with our old fags still smouldering in an ashtray.
She would drop her apron on the ground, chuckle impertinently, and light a cigarette. Then she'd put her feet on our sofa and watch Dr Phil before calling for help.

For this reason I definitely would not date a smoker.

No, I wouldn't. Not again. My ex was a heavy smoker and I hated it. The fact that my clothes and hair would stink everytime we were together. I wouldn't let him smoke in my house or car, but his own reeked. He used to smoke outside when he was in my house and spent more time outside than in.

I might be okay with someone who had the odd social smoke (a few of my friends do) but definitely not a heavy smoker.

I was born at the tail end of the 1960's.

I'm sure that everyone in the room had a fag on the go, including the Doctor who delivered me!

The Auld Lad was out in the corridor smoking too. He's now 80 & still smoking BTW.

I smoked for donkey's years, but gave up on cost grounds.

Would I date a smoker? If I wasn't married, I would. Provided she was good looking & had a good personality.

    Yeah. Why not?

I have no problem with smokers but if I was meeting someone new, I would look for a non-smoker. Simply because I don't like kissing someone whose mouth tastes & smells like an ash tray.

kissing would be my main issue also.

Smokers die younger. After 30 years of marriage, you'll be quietly glad. I smoke.

    Vaping FTW :pac:
