Yeah, The New Order was amazing, one of the standout parts for me is the train journey, just after you get the coffee, that was tense as hell...

I think the bad guys were the real stars in that game. Really sinister and creepy in a sort of over the top comical way.

Currently playing Fallout New Vegas. Mods keep this game alive for a very long time. On a side note when playing yesterday I stopped for a few minutes and some of the NPCs that were with me started doing strange things like one sitting down and having a drink, another going to sleep on a bedroll and one even doing press-ups. I never seen this type of behavior from NPCs in a game before.

I would like to play the Witcher 3 or Fallout 4 when it comes out but my laptop would likely catch fire if I try either of them.

I started up Skyborn, an RPG Maker game that I picked up in a bundle. I'm playing on easy, which is really too easy. If you ever play this, play it on normal.

I also went back to Trails in the Sky on PSP. I'm going through the final dungeon for stuff in chests, then off to the final boss!

Whenever i see someone praising The New Order i have to jump in and agree, it is a damn fine game with very little wrong with it.

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I can't say I'm being captivated by it. Granted, I'm only past the first level and climbed the big gate, but it's very meh so far. It's not bad, it's just not this amazing game that I've been hearing about so far.

Stick with it, it absolutely takes off once you get past the first act.

Recently gave Underrail another shot but turned it down to easy since normal was like playing a version of Fallout 2 with an extended Temple of Trials. Enjoying it greatly so far! Though now it's a bit too easy. Or maybe I just have a better handle on character creation.

I'll leave a rant about difficulty for another time.

More interestingly, I decided to give new!Xcom another go and was pleasantly surprised once I stopped comparing it to the original. Now, there's some areas where I can't help that. Not being able to recruit scientists and engineers, the restriction on base building, limitation of one squad and (as a result of that) having to choose between abduction sites that greatly (and infuriatingly) hampers the ability to control global panic, the general lack of depth to the tactical side; giving the player less choice in games of strategy and tactics, I would argue, is a bad thing.

But I can accept all that because underneath is still a fun game in its own right. Especially once you get into it and get a handle on panic levels. My first attempt, not knowing the importance of building satellites, was nothing short of disastrous.

So, seriously loving The Witcher. The fact that so far, most of the gameplay is taking place in the city and there's a lot of interesting story quests, solving murder and such like. A lot less focus on dungeons and lots of monster slaughter. Though there is still quite a bit of that. **** the swamp though :o

Also myself and herself picked up Besiege and I... First early access game for me and it's fun. Horrible, horrible game, but fun. I made a contraption that let fly a whole load of spinning saws that flew around mincemeating all those poor knights.

Went back to play the Witcher 2, and i am disappointed that the FPS are dropping to 50FPS on Ultra...

I mean I can play GTA V on Ultra with everything maxed out, but can only set this to high to get 60FPS...... hmmmmmmm

Obsessively playing The Binding Of Isaac: Rebirth. I've finished every path on hard mode bar one character and very close to the Platinum God achievement!

I'm playing through Fallout 3 for the first time - and loving it!

It's really gripping. There have been some tense moments. I'll admit I almost crapped my pants on more than one occasion. The missus walked into the room as an enemy appeared out of nowhere. I physically lifted an inch off the chair with fright!
    ...Much to her amusement.

It's so hard to gauge how far along I am in the main story. I guess that's the whole point of a sandbox. I'm used to more linear stories so it's taking a bit of getting used to.
I suspect I've only scratched the surface. I've just entered DC, met mad dog and now I'm picking up some quests around Ghoul city. Could somebody give a rough % of how far along I am?
I guess that's like asking how long is a piece of string!

Really enjoying it. Although I might knock the difficulty down a level - give my blood pressure a reprieve!

it is a bit how long is a piece of string you're right. iirc you can complete fallout 3 in about ten minutes so it really does depend on where you went, what you did, how long it took you to do it..

just carry on as you are, let it be organic :)

    What card you using?

Turn off ubersampling,it'll really tax any gpu.

If your using Nvidia you can use DSR and other forms off AA for the game in the Nvidia control panel. Much more efficent than the ubersampling in game

I can't live in a world without rules!

You should have seen me playing sim city 2000. All my neighborhoods had to be symmetrical with equal numbers of commerce, industry and residential.
My city looked beautiful...but soon went bankrupt!

The metro tunnels can be creepy as ****. I was playing one night in my room with the lights off. I was sneaking and creeping my way through one tunnel, then wham i got hit from behind by a ghoul that came up behind me without making a sound. Nearly fell out of my chair with fright.:D

Subbed back to EVE online... Actually fun. Just relearning stuff was hard. I barely knew much at the start anyway. :)

Heroes of the Storm. Really liking it. I played a lot of Lol back in the day, but I like HotS a lot more now. I am more casual Moba player and it has a lot more variety then normal mobas, so keeps me interested. Business plan is really fair too.

Gone proper retro as of late. Hooked up the Mega Drive and flew through a few games.

Streets of Rage 2 (beat it again for the umpteenth time, in record time for me - bout 40mins on Normal)
    Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament
    Flashback

    Left4Dead 2.

Downloaded the super horde mod, waves of zombies are increased by 500%.

Totally insane and you need a serious machine for it to not grind to a halt but by god, it's incredible fun.

    singularity

serious vibe of several different games off this, getting a very strong wolfenstein NWO + dead space vibe off it mostly. it's not that great at all but it's definitely engaging. some of the checkpoint decisions are very questionable though

First time playing Deus Ex Human revolution for the first time.

Interesting the way everything you do or don't do has consequences. Found out the hard way. I was swaning around HQ while hostages were getting murdered else where. All the AI characters were giving me stick for my lack of time keeping when I showed up to find them all dead.

well, finished it. by the end i was just rushing through as I knew i was near the end and didn't want to be thinking about it tomorrow.

overall the game kind of annoyed me. it was very good but it came so close to being brilliant in so many ways and it just collapsed into ... blandness every time. it was so easy too. i played on hardest and the combat was a joke. even without using any of the time powers (which, tbh.. weren't all that great to use) there was no challenge once you were 1/4-1/5th into the game and had picked up the assault rifle and shotgun.

the upgrade system was also pretty useless, seems like it was just thrown in because some of the games it copied also had upgrade systems.

im kinda pissy about it now but overall i'd recommend it. worth 20 quid for sure, it won't challenge you but you'll have a bit of craic

oh, flawless widescreen is a must to fix the fov. the console fov it has by default is horrendous

Been putting alot of time in on mad max but just for a change of pace jumped into Saints Row Gat out of Hell last night. Didn't do alot but it seems fun and the idea of it being set in hell is novel with the different enemies etc... that it throws up. Having said that I don't think people who didn't like 3&4 would like it as its basically saints row 4 in hell but if you liked that then it's worth the tenner on sale at the minute which is why I picked it up.

Just been all out MGSV lately.

Metal Gear Solid V, exclusively, since release. Over 100 hours logged in and only 52% done! This game is massive. The only game that can pull me away now will be FIFA when it comes out.

Company of Heroes 2 (British Forces) co-op - great stuff altogether
Mad Max - souping up the magnum opus :)
Diablo 3 season 4 - rolled a DH and Barb, ridiculously overpowered on the barb already

XCOM EW. I want to get it finished before XCOM 2 arrives. Really enjoying it!

Trying my best to ignore MGSV. It just looks so damn good.
    It sure is tempting.......
