You picked a decent time, given it's a new season & some additional content. However, you're approaching the game in a way that warrants comment. Sure, the Diablo games have a story (albeit flimsy one) but that is literally 10% of Diablo. Anyone who invested in it usually did so for endless character building/lootage. People still play Diablo 2 to this day (above Diablo 3).

Ultimately, it's not for anyone to tell you how to play a game -- but just remember, these games aren't designed as 'play the story, put on the shelf' - they're made to go on, and on, and on...

True but I doubt I'll have that much patience. Not really sure what there is to do in the game yet, a lot of stuff like adventure mode and torment is locked for me. Will see what the story is once I finish it. No idea what there is for leveling another class again.

I've been playing Viscera Cleanup Detail and well its strangely addictive for a game where you just basically clean. Of courses the places you clean are the scenes of massacres between aliens and humans so it is messy. However making everything all nice and tidy again is really satisfying. I've spent more time cleaning in that game than i have in cleaning my own place in the last week.:D

I had stopped playing Darkest Dungeon for ages, even when they were introducing new stuff, because I didn't want to exhaust the game before the full release was out. Playing the hell out of it now. Such an amazing game.
Its great fun and never really feels like a chore.
Or it is until you reach that quest with Keira Metz... :o

I feel that Keira brought a much needed charm to dispel the depressing mood of the game up until that point along with certain other perks....

Her quests were just getting pussy whipped for the chance to see more than the half a nip she teases throughout. Not worth.

Playing Fallout 4 on my PC these days. Could be very frustrating sometimes :/

Does anybody know how to fix the radiation? P.S where to find ammo??

I had to cut the resolution and graphics settings down a lot for Witcher 3. My laptop runs most games decently enough but Witcher 3 was on a different level altogether. It didnt impact my enjoyment much though. Still loved the game.

Withcer 3!! A well deserved title of the year 2015!

Addicted to Rust at the moment. About 5 friends and myself got it last week. Great game, developers watch forums constantly and respond to issues quite quickly form what i've seen. Looking forward to seeing what it becomes.

Just finished South Park: Stick of Truth. By far one of the most interesting game experiences I've had in a while, particularly the last 20% of the game. Explaining it in decent company would be very difficult. :)

    It looks like great fun.

I'm undecided if I should get it now or wait a while.

How close to completion is it?

Hard to say as I don't know what the developers consider complete. There's certainly a lot in the game already.

It has its issues (animal pathing issues, no real end game (yet), optimization issues) but the fun of the game itself overrides a lot of that for me.

If you like PvP, Survival games with crafting/building you'll like Rust.

Heroes of the Storm, Diablo III (New Season et al), Dragon's Dogma DA - and now This War Of Mine from Humble Bundle. Tried Blade & Soul for about an hour and uninstalled.

I love TWOM, such an unforgiving game.

I only lasted about an hour or two on it. Unforgiving, I suppose - but more importantly you have a complete lack of agency. You aren't given various options from which to choose, and if you choose badly it goes wrong. You're given a couple of options and they're all crappy. People complain about wanting X, Y or Z, but I have no power by which to acquire these things, I just have to hope they show up next time I'm out somewhere. Being given a mission for X, and then just hoping X shows up, is not good gameplay.

Maybe it's all a metaphor for the hopelessness of the environment, in which case they did a great job, but it was at the cost of me enjoying myself.

Started playing pulsar lost colony with a friend last night, its a terrible looking game but it's fairly fun the way each person has a role on the ship from captain, pilot, scientist, engineer and weapons. It's early access but yea pretty fun with friends so far.

Your people complain about not having cigarettes, or they need more medicine, or food, or whatever - and there's no way to encourage the game to actually give me anything specific, I just wander around various areas and hope the RNG produces what I need. It's a very passive experience.

Started TWOM recently and only lasted an hour. Had no idea what was going on and nothing seemed to happen. Will give it another go soon though.
Currently playing Mad Max. I know it gets a bit samey after a while but im liking it. Very nice game world and the driving is fun. Fighting gets simple after a while. Very much like the recent film so I guess if you liked that you will find the game interesting. Dont know will I see it through to the end because looking forward to the new Lego Marvel Avengers game,

I'm just hammering away with Darkest Dungeon, but feel I've handicapped myself somewhat with my previous playstyle. It was, pre-release something that I've dipped into as something very quick to play, I'd do a short dungeon here and there quite casually, and that's all. So I basically leveled up a whole roster of characters to levels 3, 4 and 5 without doing much in the way of medium or long dungeons whatsoever, and almost none of the bosses. Swine prince, Apprentice Becromancer, and one other I think I've done. So now I've got a load of characters, but barely anyone to do the green tier bosses. :o

The Witness. It's a handy little game where I can throw on a podcast on or listen to some music at the same time. It's identical to Talos Principle or Antichamber. I'm not sure I can consider it a game in the traditonal sense. It's like playing those brain training games. It's massively overrated. A solid 8/10 puzzler at best. A game like Portal is 10/10 in this genre. Too bad there is almost a non existent narrative. It isn't a patch on Braid so I was quite underwhelmed at first. It's missing some of the twitch elements from that game. There is no element of skill or time pressure to any of the puzzles so it's like doing a crossword at a leisurely pace. There is something about a first person puzzle game that just feels off. I don't really care much for the "beauty" of the island. In fact, I wish it would direct you to incomplete puzzles. I found myself wandering the same areas far too much. You absolutely have to increase the fov. I was getting motion sickness before increasing it!

I've developed a bag log for the first time ever. I usually just play one game at a time and don't bother with anything new till I'm done with it.

I'm a few hours into The Witcher 3 expansion.
The Witness has been taking up all my time recently.
I got half way through the new Homeworld.
I've still only played two hours of Fallout 4.
XCOM 2 has just come out...

I reckon I'll finish The Witness and forget about Homeworld and Fallout 4 until a rainy day.

I think I need to start tackling my backlog more, I have a ridiculous amount of games unplayed or unfinished. I end up spending most of my time on games with no story (Rocket League, Cities Skylines, Civ V etc.)

When I heard about Darkest Dungeon I instantly dismissed it because it had the 'Roguelike' tag which i'm not a fan of.

After reading a lot of your posts I got a bit curious to say the least.
I watched a couple of Youtube videos and instantly got hooked.

    I'm really enjoying it!

This is exactly why I love this thread.

I am trying to learn my way into Heroes Of The Storm slowly. MOBA's never really appealed to me in the past. Singleplayer I have played strategy games but when it comes to online multplayer I have only played FPS so it is a steep learning curve for me but I am enjoying it despite how frustrating it can be when your team are clearly outmatched and not working together and you just want it to be over with but the game is getting dragged out.

I'm currently loving Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, and something that I seem to really adore about it is the narration. I really seem to love when a game has a good narrator, it's probably why I find Darkest Dungeon so downright engrossing, that narration is intoxicating. "...or is it merely a trick of the light?"

Bastion was such a wonderfully charming game for precisely that reason, that more so than the gameplay or story that made it so great, it was Rucks describing the world around you, it's history and everything you're doing. Hard West had the same thing going on, the story was entirely told through narration, the sombre voice of death guiding your journey. Not to mention The Stanley Parable. Games with great narration really stand out for me lately.

I'm also playing Slime Rancher, which is fun and relaxing, but alas there isn't a narrator.

It was actually this video that sold me on Gunslinger:

It hadn't even been on my radar because while I played the first Call of Juarez years ago, multiplayer mostly, the last thing that I'd heard about the series was how awful The Cartel was. I had been disappointed that it wasn't on sale for cheaper at Christmas, so I didn't pick it up. Lucky I waited. But yeah, the above vid instantly sold me, the idea of the unreliable narrator messing with the gameplay was just too good, and I'm always interested in how games tell stories in ways that are different.
