Just finished Assassin's Creed Black Flag and enjoyed it so much that I've decided to check out AC3, and then maybe Rogue.

The best quest in Witcher 3 is a side quest and its call Family Ties, make sure you see that one tru ;)

Ha I just finished that one last night. Well up to the botchling fight. I thought that was the main quest. I have to find the Baron's wife next which does seem superfluous.

AC4 was excellent, but AC3 was only decent i'd say. Boring main character, but interesting side characters at times. Worth playing if you like the series though. Not played Rogue myself.

If you actually know where AC3 is going then the first half of the game is a boring grind to get to that point. After that not bad though but still far from the best of the series.

AC3 isn't fun. It's not a terrible game, but Black Flag was miles better. I actually started Rogue on the PC last night. Seems very similar to IV, but I'm getting graphical glitches on PC so I have to look into that.

Booted up Lost Planet 3 courtesy of Humble bundle. Currently 3/4 hours in. Thought graphics were a bit naff, until I discovered they weren't set correctly. (MAX Everything) Now it looks a lot better, and it's not a bad game. When it's complete it'll be DMC for my next SP game.

Well I say fight... I got destroyed the first time so went the same route as you the second time. I'll be sure to finish that quest off.

Seem to have sorted out my connection, so been trying out The Red Solstice multiplayer a bit today, I've been meaning to finish the singleplayer campaign but didn't touch that for ages.

Bit more DmC earlier, and played a quick blast of Vermintide too.

Thing i found with Black Flag that the pirate stuff was far more enjoyable than the assassin stuff. The assassin missions were more of a chore and i just wanted to get back to my ship and go pirating.

They just bin the assassin theme and give us more pirates.:D

Completed another mission on the singleplayer in Red Solstice after turning the difficulty down. I don't like doing that, but jesus is it tough otherwise. I think quite a few people here would like the game, especially the multiplayer, must throw up a thread about it next time it goes on sale.

Went through the tutorial for FTL last night. What a comfy game! Need a cuppa' with it. I'll try actually playing more tonight. Reminded me of space station 13 a little... just the look, setting and style.

FTL is wonderful stuff, and so much replay value, you can be hours and hours into it and still getting different encounters and options depending on your ship, crew, upgrades, weapons. Truly fantastic game.

Today I've been enjoying The Stanley Parable, and DmC: Devil May Cry. ;)

I love FTL. One of the only rogue-like games I could stick with. Its so hard. I think I only beat it once on normal.

    And this tune :pac:

I swear some recent Chris Brown song nicked the riff from the FTL menu music.

Don't think I could stomach trawling through them to find which one mind you.

The FTL soundtrack is amazing, I used to have the game running in the background while I was studying just to listen to it.

Yeah it really has a stellar soundtrack.

Some might say it's interstellar! :D

"Stellar" already means "of the stars" so you're late to the party my friend!

Pretty much everything about FTL is brilliant. Love listening to it when i'm in work, as it's pretty chillout for the most part. Still never cleared it on normal though :o

I'm still working my way through the new Star Wars: TOR expansion. Really enjoying it, and started an Imperial Agent last night. So far, that story seems brilliant.

Plus, Fallout 4 of course :)

Lately I have been playing :

    Tomb Raider (2013)
    Dead Island
    Resident Evil (various versions)
    Ridge racer Unbounded
    Devil May Cry dmc

It's really hard. I lost 2 crewmembers and ended the game for the night. I might just start over. I also noticed how good the soundtrack is pretty quickly when I left it running while I was in some other virtual desktops.

Also played some Terraria. Forgot how hard that can be, too. The LARGE map sizes are worth their title. Just keep on digging and it never ends!

So, went through a few different endings in The Stanley Parable, I'm not quite sure what to make of it to tell the truth.

Been really enjoying Invisible Inc which you can play for free as part of the Klei Publisher Weekend. It's quite a fascinating game, and I don't think I've ever played anything quite like it before, a turn-based sci-fi stealth game. It's definitely pressing a lot of the right buttons with me, that's for sure.

The Stanley Parable is a work of art. So charming, funny and unique. My sis said it was one of the most entertaining games she has played and it's what made her realise how good PC was as a platform for gaming.

I played more FTL tonight. Got my ass blown up even on easy mode. This thing is hardcore.

    Finished the SC2 LOTV campaign.

It's suitably epic and punishingly difficult on Brutal (unless you're a Masters Level players on 1v1 ladder I suppose, which I ain't).

In some senses it seemed quite short - only 19 missions in the core Protoss campaign but with another 6 between the prologue and epilogue and very few filler levels like the HOTS evolution missions, it's at least as long as the other two campaigns.

Most of the missions can take a good 40-60 minutes to finish and that's without counting the times you die.

FTL really is a fantastic game, one of my favourites ever.

Honestly, I think Stanley Parable is a game I would have needed to have played a while back, the novelty appears to be a bit lost on me. Not to say I didn't enjoy it, and I found some parts pretty amusing (like the
    broom cupboard
), but I felt it was ok-ish. Which is odd, because I thoroughly enjoyed Gone Home despite knowing how it ends, and that's been around as long.

I have no intention of playing Stanley Parable so I looked at the spoiler anyway. It revealed nothing :pac:

At first I was really impressed. When I first played through it I went for the
    completely refuse to cooperate ending
and I thought it was a really clever way to explore the relationship between the gamer and the developer. The other extreme being the
do everything you are told ending
, which I did next, and it works out perfectly. Those two taken as they are represent a nice, coherent execution of that theme - pretty much everything after was messy, pretentious stupidity and I have no idea what the point was supposed to be.

For this reason I'm not going to touch The Beginner's Guide, as I hear it is far more up its own ass.
