Have they discontinued the chicken thigh frozen burgers?

First they came for the socialists...

Anyone had trouble getting the very drinkable Kooliburra Shiraz? Hasn't been in stock or a SEL the last few times I have been in. Hasn't been anyone in the (newly) sectioned off drinks area to ask!

I know everyone's tastes are different so what I consider to be amazing quality and value for money may be someone else's turpentine but if you like seriously good value rich, plummy, vanilla spice type deep reds this for me at €6.75 IIRC is the nuts. It's been our go to "value" wine for a couple of years. We've tried lot's of others in the €7-€9 range and keep coming back to and stocking up on this.

Honestly, your post told me everything I want to know about that wine without all the fluffy waffle!
That review is just longer, not better, imo.

Not bad at all. Took the advice to leave it open a while first.

I thought it was... Okay. Nothing special really.

To avoid going offtopic too much, I'd like to recommend Nut Bars with dark chocolate and peanut butter coating. 213 kcal and 9g of protein per bar makes it a good middle ground between a protein bar and a chocolate bar snack. They're really delicious.
    .

Have you a photo of these? Tried to find them the other day, but wasn't sure exactly what it was I was looking for.

Certainly seems that way - I haven't seen them in a few weeks

    Here we go - https://twitter.com/slab_bakery/status/1013873489621803012/photo/1

They are usually in the section with the whole nuts, seeds, and other health/wholefoods.

Those bars are often next to the gluten free biscuits/bread in my Aldi.

The frozen churros are lovely with a bit of the fresh whipped cream they sell. We got the chocolate ones which come with cinnamon sugar to sprinkle with after you cook in the oven. Think the other flavor is salted caramel.

Yes, it's been my go to wine for a few weeks now. Would prefer the NZ Pinot noirs but for 7.86 euros this is great value

I had one of the Persian lunch pots for today's lunch, heated it up slowly in a pan, cracked an egg into it and put a lid over it for five minutes so the egg poached in the in sauce and veg.

    Absolutely delicious.

I picked up a pack of very similar looking burgers last week in Iceland.
I'd given up on the aldi ones as they went to muck.

The Specially Selected handmade Rocky Road, in packets of 4 at checkouts, are to die for. Not that cheap at about 2.50ish, but delicious and addictive.

I found them a bit too sweet. We make rocky road alot at home and it wouldn't be quite so sweet.

There are battered fish fingers in the frozen section that I picked up yesterday. Highly recommended. Very tasty in a sandwich

Rib of beef on the bone is always lovely.
Stay away from round roast, unless you like eating cardboard.

Tried this the other evening and was very impressed, I'm normally a beer man, but have been cutting back recently due to training commitments, but this stuff might start to replace my previously enjoyed bottles of beer on weekend evening's.

Does law though, I'll probably start to enjoy these and next thing you know they'll be mysteriously discontinued. :D

Housekeepers cut in slow cooker overnight. I know this is Aldi but they are half price in Tesco right now, delicious in the slow cooker.

Bought a bottle of this Aimone and the Pfalz Pinot Noir....after seeing them recommended here.

I suppose everyone has different tastes, but the Aimone is very full bodied, basically a Port....and a really quite nasty one at that. I drank about half a glass, might use the rest for cooking or mix it with hot water and cloves like you would do with a Port. (I let it breath for about 30mins, as suggested). Will not be buying it again

The Pfalz Pinot Noir is not bad.
