Nope Monday morning looking forward to just having everything done now.

How did you find the medical

The medical was a fine. Check urine, ears, eyes, lung capacity. Had to blow into a bag to check was there recent alcohol consumption. Couple of injections for hepatitis a and b and a tetanis shot. Just dont go in hungry cause my stomach started rumbling during the hearing test and it made it harder to hear ðŸ˜

Lads don't be over thinking the cpat it's really doable it's not an assault course. Just do a few jogs in the park don't be doing injuries to yourselves dragging sand bags etc. Basic level of fitness will get you over the line. Enjoy it and well done to all delighted for you after such a long wait

The lads where so so sound defo not out to screw anyone. I’d just recommend everyone makes sure boots fit ok and pace yourself. The crawl space is fine also. The equipment carry is tough no doubt. But it’s very doable

Thanks,so there might be a chance that we'll all be starting our Paramedic training with the class being smaller?

Not a hope it,ll be too big a class 25 or 26 to go back from class 2017

At what stage of your training do they let you know if your staying on or going out to your station?

Safe to say most senior will stay on for paramedic training. Can't see them taking any more than 40 in total for paramedic course and that's including class 2017 and escs. Think there where 48 in last class and word was it was a nightmare with that number.

  • Registered Users Posts: 36 Scubasteve2017

Shadow104 said it all,, 25 or so to go back from class 1/2017 , so esc in your class will be most senior so they will train with the operational firefighter for paramedic course and maybe 5 senior lads on panel , as for stations and watch you he told the day before you pass out. dnt worry about station or watch you have your training to get tru first
