Unless there's a specific storyline regarding one of the prequels it doesnt need a set date to be set in, provided it's within the average timeline of the vaults opening or being opened, destroyed sabotaged internally, water chips running out (hehe) etc..

I am very interested in a collectors edition.

Have the New Vegas CE with the casino chips, playing cards, art booklet and vault covers.

Be interested in another one for Boston

OK now I really need to go play Fallout....Steam sales added more **** to my list last few days, but think I will bump Fallout up to the top(once I finish Wolfenstein)

I hope its just "prototype", work in progresss. You wouldnt need a melee weapon at the start of F4 with this on your hand :) Feels a little bit to "plastic" for me.
Something like on sec pic would get to me.
Overall the news of F4 look great, it was nice to see some gameplay instead of short clips and loads of talking like a lot of others publishers/devs are doing. They even found a space to add minecraft in to i. The world goes crazy :P Probably asking for ios/android app for managing the build outpoust sould be to much?

    Well there goes November :D

Now, here's a thing, the first time I played a Fallout game was only this year and it was New Vegas. A couple of hours in, I became cross with myself for not having jumped on this particular bandwagon sooner :D So having seen the extended showing from E3, I'm very impressed and I can't wait to get stuck in come November :D

III is completely superior to New Vegas if you havent played that yet...

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,733 ✭✭✭✭degrassinoel

1&2 is superior in storytelling and humour :P

feck off, i'm old and i like old things! :D

I'm seriously considering the Collector's Edition for this at this point. It looks excellent (though will doubtless be a bugfest on launch), crafting and building particularly. I can see myself losing a few hundred hours if not more.

Building your own settlement is a game in itself!!

Defo buying the CE edition. Looks like a good game. No real change with the combat system.

    Wonder what's the map size?

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,877 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

3 times the size of Skyrim apparently.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,309 ✭✭✭✭wotzgoingon

Well have the standard edition pre-ordered.

We haven't seen much of melee. Shooting doesn't look stupid inaccurate, though. Then again this was just a trailer, who knows what kind of godmode stuff they had going on.

Yep same here, pipboy sounds fab but really it's not something your gonna use... CDkeys have the game for 40 Euro for PC via steam.

Can anyone remember if Fallout 3 / NV came with a physical map for the retail versions of the game? Was wondering if Fallout 4 would come with a map, but now that I think of it I am not sure if the other Fallout games did.

None of the standard editions did anyway. I don't think it would make too much sense since the map is revealed as you play and there wouldn't be a lot of features to put on it.

In the promo video I seen a poster for GNN (maybe galaxy news radio) really hope we see the return of ThreeDog! Loved his style... And music at times!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,878 ✭✭✭Robert ninja

^ I'd just prefer custom radio tracks playable in game. With FLAC support, ideally.

Pretty sure he is back, was some tweet from the actor about it recently.

Still though, I was a fan of Mr. New Vegas.

I'm probably just thinking of what Bethesda did with The Elder Scrolls. Now that I think of it I can't ever remember having a Fallout physical map.

Can someone give me a comparison between Skyrim's map and GTA V map? I can't find any sort of image comparisons on google. I just want to know the jist of the size of map we can expect for Fallout 4

This map was for the witcher 3 but it has both skyrim and GTA V on it.

So it'll be roughly same as GTAV or Witcher 3 then? For Fallout 4 that is.

Well if it is supposed to be 3 times the size of skyrim then it should be a tiny bit smaller than GTA v

Did Bethesda give that figure of 3x Skyrim's map? (I genuinely missed that)
