    So no then?...stories and rumours?

I.e you haven't a clue what deal snn actually gave FR?

Exactly - No is the answer. This persons comments re Shannon are BS

Shannon did a long term deal with Ryanair to reopen the base after Covid. This deal is still ongoing.

Shannon like other airports did deals with Ryanair to reopen. Nothing to do with not being able to re open. It was open during Covid and is open 24/365.

The other carriers obviously couldn’t resume Shannon flights as they are the US airlines. The US Ban was still place

The vast majority of the revenue in airports in this part of the world comes from things like Car Parking and Catering, not from flight charges, so it's really a moot point.

If you know better then perhaps you should share it. I honestly don't care. As I said previously, I like Shannon and wish it all the best.

The stuff about Ryanair basically paying no fees, I heard back during the pandemic just after passenger operations resumed there. And it was from a couple of people who work in aviation. If you know better, then fair enough. Ryanair management basically said at the time, that Shannon gave them what they wanted when aviation was starting up again after lockdowns.

It was mentioned here because it was suggested Cork should drop their fees, just because Ryanair launched a Madrid flight at Shannon.

Shannon didn't have any other commercial operator at the time they needed Ryanair to come back. For about a year, I think? it was only cargo flights coming in and out of the airport.

If the information I was told was wrong, then so be it. I'd have no problem holding me hands up. But you don't appear to actually know yourself.

You created an account to come straight on to post on the Cork Airport thread, even though you said yourself, you will probably never use the airport. If you're that precious about Shannon then fair enough, but at this stage, it's probably getting irritating for other contribiters and readers of this thread, as this debate is just going round in circles.

Yes that’s right and same for Knock and Kerry. Why are you singling shannon? Cork had a handful of flights.

I didn’t actually create a account to come onto the Cork airport thread. Its absolutely none of your business why I created this account. I comment on all the aviation forums !! Not just Cork! Yeah I know your false weird comments are probably getting annoying. God help other users listening to you!

The Madrid flight and airport charges was being discussed! If it has been launched in Kerry, then that's what we would have been discussing. Jesus, like.

Fair enough if you didn't create an account to just post here. I guess its just a coincidence you joined boards the day you started heavily posting on this thread.

it is actually a coincidence. If you care to read the Shannon Airport thread I posted heavily there too. I also posted on the Aer Lingus thread.

not that I should have to explain myself to silly people like you. Thankfully I’m deleting my account now anyway. Theres more to life than responding to crap!

    I have reported you also.

The source is Papi_3000 on Reddit. He predicted Bilbao and Bordeaux in October 2024 and as others have said, Glasgow months before it was announced.
