Blistering start by England particularly Buttler but nice come back by the Aussies. 70/2 after 9.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,085 ✭✭✭MFPM

Great catch on the run by Finch, Banton gone 74/3...Morgan in now.

England were looking dead cents to get 210 plus but good bowling from the Australian lads and 175 is now more likely. A good 20 minutes for Australia.

Morgan gone, only faced 3 balls, caught by Smith off Maxwell...92/4, run rate down to 7.67.

Moeen Ali the loudmouth back in form. Got 60 the other day, was boasting about how good he is. 2 today, and that's about as good as he is. Man is stealing a career

Ali gone now! Reverse sweep - he got it all wrong. Caught by Zampa and like Morgan off the bowling of Maxwell....Momentum with Australia?

England after the blistering start seemed just to go into their shell a bit. Wickets in hand just needed to keep risking, keep playing shots and go for it.. now it’s looking like 160-170 might be getable not 200 plus.

That's a little harsh, no? I didn't see his comments but he's been through a sh!t time for a whole period.

If they get to 200 from here it will be a great performance, need 16 an over, can't see it, think you're right 170 more realistic but you never know in this form of the game.

A hit wicket review, now there's something you don't see very often!!!!

    Aussie keeper playing games?

He has had a pile of chances, and failed miserably, slogs his wicket away when the pressure is on, scores a few in a defeat, and talks rubbish after it. Wouldn't be my kind of pick if I was a selector.

Im stumped, that was bizarre. A review for hit wicket, batsman nowhere near hitting the stumps,

If I’m the umpire I’m having a word about that. Completely anti sporting.. just time wasting. Poor, but we’ve become accustomed to that sort of craic with the last couple of their teams.

Curran gone for 6. This is trouble for England. Really good bowling by Australia.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,085 ✭✭✭MFPM

Malan hits 50, good knock by him as others get out. He's really cementing his place in this team.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,824 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Good bowling and poor batting. England have shown again that the bulk of the team are susceptible to a good short ball in this form of the game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,085 ✭✭✭MFPM

22 off that over, great batting by Malan. Disaster for Zampa.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,085 ✭✭✭MFPM

Malan gone for 66, caught by Smyth off Richardson....147/7...England need at least 30 more to be competitive, you'd think.

Pity Malan couldn't stay till the end, he's a really classy player

Lesson 1 for Rashid, don't attempt the scoop!

So 162, this is going to be interesting. A fluent Australia with game time behind them and you'd think they'd easily get it but with no cricket for 6 months for them, it's not a guaranteed but I'd make them favourites.

Tail enders and scoop shots are normally more miss than hit. Leave that to Morgan and co.

Poor from England after a great start, going to need to bowl very well and take some early wickets.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,085 ✭✭✭MFPM

Australia going well, scoring at 10 an over.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,824 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Another over in double figures. Hurting the English.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,085 ✭✭✭MFPM

Australia coasting at the moment. Good running between the wickets

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,085 ✭✭✭MFPM

    Big 6 by Finch...

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,824 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

England in trouble and Morgan eventually, probably two to three overs too late brings in a catcher or two.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,085 ✭✭✭MFPM

Finch out for 46, England 98/1...too late?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,085 ✭✭✭MFPM

Smith in now, hitting with intent, 8 from 2. Poor fielding by Banton.
