    So... that Paige video...

    Go on...

Haha, a video of her getting a lapdance from a male stripper. Quite a bit of penis in it. Be interesting to see if she caught any flak over it.

    Ah

I thought it was going to be the other variety of nudity

Because it is a way for the industry to show respect for the legends who have gone before. Wrestling may be fake, but the sacrifices these people make are real so why shouldn't people care about something that is supposed to honour them.

    Someone's getting worked...

Seen a suggestion online that the addition of Ambrose to the main event at Payback could be a setup for a Shield reunion

Not sure how I'd feel about that. As much as I love the Shield, I'm enjoying the progress Rollins and Ambrose have been making developing themselves as singles competitors (Reigns not so much)

Shield reunion should be a long way off yet, especially since Reigns keeping the music and gear really dulls the impact. Even if he got a new gimmick tomorrow and they reunited this time next year I feel like you still wouldn't get the same kick off the music hitting as if you hadn't heard it since the split.

Besides it just doesn't seem like it would make any sense at this point.

Pictures of Rollins' ding dong were hacked/leaked and he didn't suffer. Can't see anything happening to Paige over this. Not like she did anything wrong anyway.

Bob Backlund is supposed to have interrupted Verne Gagnes funeral with a heel promo.....

Far too early for a Shield reunion but perhaps it will set up a shield triple threat for the title... More likely though its just so Dean can be the one to take the pin after his first ppv win in yonks (hopefully there is more to it than that though, elevate Dean to near main event before giving him a MITB run for example).

Wow, and there I was thinking that maybe Martha had changed her mind, and given WWE permission to make it. I was kind've hoping that would lead to Owen being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Thought it was odd she'd be on board.

Back to save the ratings are:
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are currently slated to "return" to Raw this Monday in Cincinnati.

Stephanie had been off TV as she had been overseas as part of her Eisenhower Fellowship, leading to the current storyline where Kane, as Director of Authority and WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins are at odds.

Is there any good or bad history for Steph having an impact on ratings?

Always find her annoying in a fast forward, switch off way much like big show and Kane

A thirty minute HHH promo, yes THAT will save the ratings.

It's sad that that's their solution (and it'll probably work in the short run) instead of them recognising and seeking to address the underlying problem.

Sorry but Triple H and Stephanie do drive ratings. They are the stars of the show. All the heat gets put on them and rarely do they get their comeuppance. Imagine if they booked a few Wrestlers that strongly. :p

I know Triple H and Steph as a combo do, just wondering about her on her own.

Triple H and Stephanie are absolute assets for WWE as on-air characters. Think of how big a deal both were during the Attitude Era, when everyone was watching. They're the type old fans would stop on while flicking the channels to see what they were up to. Having talent mix it up with them is how you get new people over. If an older fan sees someone beating Zack Ryder in a minute...well who is this Zack Ryder chap anyway? But if they're talking to Triple H and Stephanie then they must be a big deal and worth watching.

I wouldn't mind them as on air characters, if they didn't take up so much tv time. I just feel it's overkill with them sometimes. Plus they don't need to be on screen every week either. They're as bad as Dixie Carter when it comes to hogging tv time.

Is Vince no longer the go to guy to be brought back to tv when they need a ratings lift?

    Pretty big Raw spoiler:
WWE Intercontinental champion Daniel Bryan is slated for tonight's Raw taping in Cincinnati, Ohio, PWInsider.com has confirmed. It will be the first time Bryan has appeared on TV since the 4/16 Smackdown broadcast, when Bryan teamed with John Cena against Tyson Kidd and Cesaro in a bout where he was booked to not have any real physical interactions.
PWInsider.com sources indicated that Bryan suffered an injury during a Dublin, Ireland stop on the last European tour. The nature of Bryan's injury was never publicly stated by WWE but the company did confirm to us that he was pulled from the remaining European tour dates as a "precautionary" measure.

At the time, sources told PWInsider.com that Bryan was expected out for a month, and this week would hit four weeks since he last competed.

PWInsider.com has also confirmed that Bryan is booked for the Payback PPV, so it would appear his appearance tonight will set up his role for that PPV. Bryan missed a scheduled bout at April's Extreme Rules PPV against Bad News Barrett due to the injury.

Over the weekend, PWInsider.com also broke that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon would also be returning to Raw after Stephanie's Eisenhower Fellowship and the required international travel led to their televised roles in The Authority disappearing from TV as part of a scripted "vacation."

According to Bryan Alvarez El Torito is rumored to ditch Los Matadores for the Lucha Dragons once Fernando and Diego turn heel. Hornswoggle might be added to Los Matadores.

The Luchas have a good thing going, they really don't need to be saddled with El Torito.

The Luchas have already lost any real steam they had from their debut. This wont help them being secondary characters to the lil bull and horny feud

    What's wrong with El Torito?

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,753 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

Nothing, Id just like teh Lucha Dragons to be themselves, not turn into Los Matadores 2.0.

And im tired of seeing the never ending Horny feud.

Sounds like we are getting a new version of 3MB (with Hornswoggle) vs Los Matadores (with El Toritto) from last year

It'd be funnier if they saddled El Torito to be honest.

Call up Bull Dempsey and put El Torito with him. Think of the bull related fun that could be had.
