No different from so many click bait articles in Nintendo life and the like.
Just filling in space, attracting those clicks and hence revenue. That's their bottom line, ad revenue, and the appearance of informing the public.

Absolutely, as much fun as it is to speculate, the truth is we all know nothing or very little about the NX (for now... but soon.)

I just hope that people don't read too much into these articles. It would be so easy to glance at that article, or the many like it, and just see more negativity assigned to Nintendo consoles.

When the NX is eventually released, it will have tough time convincing people who aren't as invested in Nintendo that it will be a worthwhile purchase. If it's a PS4/XB1 competitor, then why would people change over, and if it does something completely new, then it's just a gimmick for the kids. It almost can't win at this point!

Nintendo's silence is what is making these articles appear rather than the positive, excitement generating articles that could be written if people could just see what the NX is. They are shooting them self in the foot, as has been said here so many times!

Nintendo Video Chat of IGN went through NX rumors today and Peer Schneider chimed in with what he has heard from internal sources & NX developers:

-Peer is "100% convinced" that the NX will use memory cards (i.e. like 3DS carts).

NX is a portable device you can dock to your TV and play games (confirmed by their own sources & NX developers)

-Share button seems plausible

-They're really skeptical of the "split d-pad" rumor considering the traditional d-pad has been a focus of their marketing lately and the d-pad is something people love about Nintendo's systems, but anything's possible.

-Detachable controllers are low budget. Very cheap (like the Wii nunchuck). Peer has heard they're using IR and it's not your main way of controlling the game (a "travel controller"). Speculates they could make cheap controllers that attach to the system.

-Peer thinks the 720p resolution for the screen is "very credible" and "very highly likely".

-One developer talked to Peer and called NX "a reboot for Nintendo". Peer says to him it means carts, not having to decide between playing on a console/portable whether going back to the glory days of NES, SNES, and the Wii.

-They think the SCD with a dock with additional hardware is possible.

Just Dance on the system means a way to measure what you're doing while dancing (some sort of hardware).

I watched the latest NVC episode this morning. It was very good as it nearly always is(anything Pokémon and I fast forward and I hate when Kallie Plague is on the show). The only real info Peer had was that a developer told him that Nintendo will have a complete reboot. The other info is just his educated opinion.

We've actually seen some recent stuff for Shenmue 3, so Half Life 3 confirmed?

Half Life 3 is going to be out on the PS1 in January.

Yeah but the experience of using tapes to individually load each character and stage isn't in that one.

I liked the spectrum. Some great games from the beginning like Treasure Island, Punchy, Crazy Golf and Disco Dan. Then other games like Skate Wars. Ah, good times. Just waiting now on this

Thinking of getting an SD loader for my Spectrum, no more loading, just press the button and off you go.
I've two, a boxed 16k and a boxed 48k. I think I have a Ram expansion for the former but no Kempston interface.

I was just using a Zipstick yesterday, picked up an Atari 65XE and the controller I got with it is a 7800 stick, complete sh1te.
Some recommend a Megadrive pad, but the Zipstick was fantastic, I have two of them for such duties!
