they did announce it on the store's facebook page which isn't so bad

I actually think queueing up in the hope of getting one of the unknown about available is worse

imagine being behind the last guy to pick up the "spare" units after waiting in the rain for a few hours

Link to that? Can't see it.

Remember too that Gamestop said that you need to pre order any games that you want from them on launch day as they won't have games on the shelves. Sounds strange.

That's purely a sales tactic I'd guess to get more preorders

And quite possibly to try and frighten people into preordering more games in fear that there's a shortage

Hey now, Nintendo don't own the exclusive rights to dumb ideas!
Remember Knack, the PS4 launch game?
The godawful sky high price of the PS3 on release, and it being justified by Sony because the system was so exclusive?
The whole Xbox One/ have to have a game unpaired to your system so you could sell it on, and being charged a price for the privilege?
    32X?
    M2?
    CDi?
The original Wonderswan screen? (Blurry as fcuk)
The Gameboy Color screen (you had to sit on the planet Mercury at midday to see it properly)

It's a challenge cup Cidey, Nintendo took the mantle off Microsoft with some Switch decisions.

Can't seem to find it now but it wasn't the main GameStop page

It's my local stores own separate page

The year 1 line up has me worried but ultimately I'm a sucker for Zelda and want to play the best version of the game. I've pre-ordered a switch for launch. I already have Mario Kart on my Wii U so this is basically going to be a Zelda box until Mario comes out. :P

The Irish Argos website should have the same catalogue numbers as the UK. But the Irish listings don't go live until the day of release. Surprised the UK listings aren't up yet. They have the games but not the hardware.

    This hardware?
I actualy emailed argos today to see if they had any info for their prices/bundles here, but no replay yet.

Remember Xtravision with the XBox One where people who preordered had to buy a game with it or they couldn't have one

Don't know how I missed that.

That worked out well for them :pac: I'm sure they've filled their pre-order quota for the Switch.

Ya, and what was worse was that information was only relayed well after some people had already pre-ordered the console, so they were practically held to ransom on it.

I remember that, friend went in to pick his up and they refused to give it to them even tho he had it fully paid off in advanced.
he had gotten the game he wanted cheaper from gamestop delivered in advaced

Probably best that spoiler tags be used?

    For Zelda for certain anyway

Skyrim on Switch may not be 2016 remaster

Ominous news, Skyrim fans: A Polygon interview with Bethesda’s Todd Howard has muddied the waters as to which version of the game Nintendo fans will be playing on their shiny new Switches later this year.

When asked specifically about future projects, Howard remained tight-lipped, adding that he “can’t say” whether the Switch port of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be the 2011 original or the 2016 “Special Edition” remaster.

While it’s entirely possible this statement was simply made to curb a more exciting reveal somewhere down the line, it surely doesn’t ooze confidence for fans hoping to play the superior version on the go.

Hopefully we’ll get a more clear picture in the coming weeks and months as the game’s Fall release date rapidly approaches.

It's surely the new remaster, it has to be. Though giving a response like that is asking for trouble. He must want to keep it a surprise or Nintendo have asked them not to say anything more about it just yet.

When is it due out? There's nothing to gain by not confirming it's the remaster. It's one of those responses that can only be taken the negative way

I know pain in the arse is my go to but that's a pain in the bloody arse.

I guess handheld couldn't handle the remaster.

Tom Howard led the development on Skyrim, you would think he would know at this point what version the Switch was getting, very odd comment to make.

It's definitely the 2011 version I'd say, doubt Ninty want more bad press about the Switch before launch by having this confirmed, I'd say he was just trapped by the question.

I thought it was already confirmed that it would be the remaster, must have misremembered.
