1.30 - Nichols Canyon 4/1

A classy performer on the flat and apart from a blip at Leopardstown has looked very good over hurdles. Last time out he was very impressive and jumped excellent scoring pretty easily from Windsor Park who re-opposes today. NC has lots of speed but I also think he'll have enough stamina for the trip. I expected him to be shorter than 4s.

2.05 - The Young Master 11/2

4/4 over fences(disqualified for being ineligible in the Badger Ales), The Young Master brings a good level of form into this. You need a tough hardy horse to win the RSA and plying his trade in tough handicaps all year will stand him in good stead here.

2.40 - Aux Ptits Soins 10/1

Going purely on the French form of this I'm going to have a little bet on APS, he beat a subsequent listed winner on his final start over in France and had Arbre De Vie behind him on his debut(Won twice since for Willie Mullins looking very impressive in the process). Nicholls has said he'll come on for this but at 10/1 it's worth an e/w play.

3.20 - Sprinter Sacre 4/1

There was something missing from SS on his comeback, he seemed to have lost a little bit of that sparkle and that air of invincibility about him but as a comeback run it was still a pleasing return. I'm hoping he will come on for it and can't leave him alone at the price. Betting aside I would love to see even a bit of the old SS back today.

4.00 - Any Currency 6/1

Not a race I'll be going mad on but Any Currency has a good record around the Cross Country course, last years run was a cracking run behind the legend Balthazar King and he warmed up for this with an easy 12 length win over C&D in December. A 9 pound rise makes things difficult but he should run a good race, I'm also interested in Quantitiveeasing who was behind AC last time out and will have a small saver on him.

4.40 - Arabian Revolution 10/1

A very tricky contest but I like the form of AR behind the very impressive Beltor.

5.15 - Moon Racer 8/1 & Supasundae 12/1

Two animals I've been hugely impressed with so far.

I'm a bit iffy on Don Poli and no way would I touch him at a that short a price. With the ground good I just think he'll be caught out for speed at the distance. If the ground was heavy or even a bit softer I'd be all over him but not on good/soft
