How is your arm anyway. If I remember correctly it was quite a break. Clean snap.

Ah it's grand, getting a final check up tomorrow and then some physio at some point.
No pain in the arm anymore, some weakness in the wrist and numbness in the skin but she's a nightly little healer.
Getting this auto Micra will be handy enough though as gear changes can be a bit jarring on the arm at the minute.

    Plus I got a cool scar. :p

    I want my 5 back :(
    Any developments on the non-starting?

TBH I think the last Top Gear episode was like a parody of themselves. I think they've lost it really.
Hammond and May will get other BBC jobs. Clarkson will get some show on some other channel where he gets to rant and rave etc etc.
I actually like Clarkson when he has it toned down a few notches - he's a good antidote to the ultra PC "must not even think of offending anyone in any possible way" world we live in now. When he's turned up to 11 he annoys me.

The best of Clarkson that I've ever seen was his two war documentaries. Unbelievable how good of a presenter he is.

Theyvall just need to sit down and make up.

As the doc would say, that's a real healthy looking scar!

    Well wear ha!

Scar + MMA story on how it came about = winner.

Have a similar scar but "fell off a pedal bike" isn't such a good story. Was out on the bike yesterday, crazy amount of rubbish on the roadside - there really are so many dirty ignorant people out there!

Not yet, shop was closed today so I'm hoping there's movement tomorrow, a shame as the bumpers came out great! I know i's stupid but I'm going to tell them to jump it tomorrow, E39's can act seriously weird if the battery starts to go low, which will also mean I need a new battery.

I've got a scar from when I broke my nose and busted my face open falling up two steps.

    The ladies love it.

Only problem is I can't use it as a chat up line, my girlfriend just gives me a weird look when I act like I've never met her before. :pac:

Ah you don't notice how bad the rubbish is until it nearly takes you off your bike.
Don't know what you're on bit 700x23 tyres are terrifying when you hit a plastic bag full of cans!!

    Nasty!
I'm a ****er for falling up stairs.
    Always in a hurry.

I've a scar on my index finger that's an inch long from when a pippete snapped and decided to slice the flesh down to the bone.
Is it too late to sue my old school :pac:

Cycling around here on my own bike is a ****ing nightmare. The roads are in ****e so I do be swerving all over the place trying not to fly off the bike.
Cycling can be grand though, theres nothing better than shouting at an eejit driver on a cold morning, really wakes you up.

Jump it lad! yeah, maybe not on 23's. Couldn't do 23's anymore. Contemplating a Specialized Diverge as an option for Irish roads, a road bike for heavy ex mountain bikers. Any obstacle on the road and my first instinct is to jump it. Any excuse. :pac:

Believe me, "projects" like this never work out

Made the same mistake with a 06 1.6 Passat, had to go to the Uk for an engine, spend weeks putting the whole car together, and it was never right, ended up selling it for what it stood me, minus a few months of work on it :(

Same deal with a 1.5 DCI Scenic which is now in 1,000,000 pieces in my parent's shed, I literally have every part from it bar the shell.

The previous owner said he had it for 4 or 5 years and had the engine replaced 2 years ago which had 111k miles on at the time and was mostly used by his wife to drive kids to school so has apparently done only 7k miles since then.

He also gave me the old engine.

So they already tried jumping the 5 along with tapping the starter to see if it'd kick, no luck. I have someone coming down with INPA on Wednesday evening to plug it in and see if there's any codes as the non INPA computer they used didn't see any faults.

I hate faults like that Fox, they are a total head wrecker!

Crap electrical debug makes me irrationally angry. The actual diagnosis of why there is a problem in the circuit may be tricky - but at least they should be able to figure out where in the circuit the problem is.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,872 ✭✭✭Foxhole Norman

It really is a pain in the ass and I'm expecting a decent bill if there's no fault codes due to the time it'll take to trace the fault.

The Yaris just makes matters worse :pac:
