Brady did it for 10 straight games in 2007.

Nice! Just the four in a row without an INT, however.

Funnily enough, the season Payton had 55 TDs, in 2013, he managed just three games above 3 TDs in a row, and only two of those with no INTs.

We can start off the annual "my teams players didn't make the pro bowl..." :)

I'll go...Harrison Smith misses out once again. Incredible at this stage

It's been named. Cox got in alright. Andy Dalton looks hard done by. Elsewhere Megatron looks very lucky this year, with perhaps Barnridge from the Browns unlucky not to get a tight end spot. Think Anthony Barr and Linval Joeseph are very unlucky from the Vikings also, just not to the extent of Smith. Thought Pernell McPhee would get in

whoops my mistake :D. lane johnson should be there instead of peters this year but i guess peters has the reputation. I'm absolutely shocked darren sproles made it in never would have expected that thought if we had a 3rd it would be maby malcom jenkins and i dont think he necessarily deserved it either

Possibly but probably missed out because it took a while before he found his form, then missed a few games with injury later. If we had pushed on from the packers game instead of falling to pieces it'd have thought both him and Cutler would have pushed harder for spots. But we have been dire the last few weeks.

Ouch...my feelings. Still think that for both Marshall and the bears they had to part ways. Wr is one of the only positions I think we're set at. If white turns out as good as people think he can, and we nail down Jeffery, we have a scary good receiver corps next year. Pro bowl can't be too far behind...(there's something a bit "titans" about this "we'll be great next year" talk this early)

That's faint praise indeed. Draft day was absolutely dreadful. The more I think about it the more stupid it actually seems. Completely unbelievable...the browns having a good draft? Pfff

ha ha true, It's not a bad film but don't be looking for it at the oscars and it really does not paint the league in a good light at all.

On an unrelated note....It's around the time where films in hollywood get sent for award considerations....some nefarious people always seem to put them online

Don't really see how Big Ben got to the Pro Bowl. Would have both Dalton and Eli ahead of him, tbh.

You could nearly argue both of them ahead of Rodgers, too, especially Dalton.

Allen Robinson can feel very hard done by as well. Should be in over Megatron.

Dalton or Eli ahead of Big Ben? No way on earth sir... Ben has been sensational this season.

Ruined what could have been a fantastic career.

Imagine that the Jaguars could have had him to add to Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns and Julius Thomas. Arguably the best receiving corps in the league with Blackmon there.

    Such a shame.

Missed too many games for me.

Started the season on fire, yeah, but that shouldn't be enough to get him in, for me.

    Not when he's 18 TDs 12 INTs.

I'd have Brees, and maybe even Carr, ahead of him too.

I just don't see how you can miss four games, have the above TD:INT ratio, and still get in, really. Even more so when you consider the offense around him.

Take a look at his game log for the year, and who his good and bad games are against, and it doesn't look like a Pro Bowl worthy year, for me.

Regardless, biggest snubs in my opinion:

    Harrison Smith
    Linval Joseph
    Chris Ivory
    Allen Robinson
Winston Richburg (PFFs number 1 ranked centre, btw)
    Andy Dalton

Ben has been sensational when he's played. He's missed some time but if you average out his yardage over 16 games he'd be close to breaking the record. He has more yards per game than anyone. He's thrown a few INT's alright but he's been worth his pro bowl nod I think.

I think Jordan Reed should be in there as well to be honest, having a brilliant year.

We can agree to disagree on Big Ben, I just think he has been very impressive, Dalton has had a fine year as well and if he was in I wouldn't be arguing about it. I think Eli has done some good and bad this season wouldn't have him at the pro bowl, likewise Brees and Carr.

Biggest snubs for me were Reshad Jones, Mike Daniels, Weston Richburg, Joe Berger, Marcus Gilbert, Malcolm Jenkins and Ronald Darby

I have posted on here a few times that I am a massive fan of Dalton. But I can understand why he wasn't picked (I would have had him ahead of A-Rod personally, but it is not a slam dunk).

    But question from me:

Dalton 2015 season, is that the best season statistically for a quarter back to miss the Pro Bowl?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,644 ✭✭✭D9Male

Looking at the list now, there is no way Calvin Johnson should be in there. Allen Robinson from the Jaguars or Decker should be there ahead of him.

Edit, I see Knex made the exact same point as me about Johnson < Robinson.

What probably held Reed back was his penalties, and poor run blocking.

Walker had an excellent year for the Titans, and I'd have him in before Reed, myself.

Kelce would be who I'd push to an alternate.

Reshad Jones is another good shout, from phatkev. Himself and Smith can feel very hard done by that Kam is there ahead of them.

I'd have Gary Barnidge and Delanie Walker both in ahead of Kelce to be honest.

Ironically, the strength & weakness of Ben is his toughness. No other QB has the ability to throw the ball down the field so well with defenders hanging out of him. Yet it is this same ability that gives him all these niggling injuries. He had some great games last year and then the injuries caught up with him. Even if he plays a full season, his playing style usually means he's playing gimped for a few of them. It must be frustrating for Steelers fans, but you can't change the nature of the beast. And if you could? I don't think he'd be the same player.

he'd be heading for 5,000 yards over 16 games and Brown would almost certainly be heading for 2,000 yards. Brown is at 1,600 and was not a factor in 4 games under Vick and Jones.

He has more interceptions alright but they are being aggressive on offense, throwing it in riskier situations.

    Could still break the record.
