Not to make light of how horrible this must be for him( probably well insured) but with all the concussion issues....are we 100% he wasnt taking medical advise from a coffee machine? His next tweet said Dr.Latte says I need toe surgery.

Watched about 10 mins of the Pro Bowl yesterday and had to turn it off because it was such garbage. Its time to get rid of the game all together and just have it as an honorary team selection.

I did the exact same. Flipped over to the NHL All Star game instead which was a million times better.

Nfl posted a video from when Sean Taylor was in it and wrecked the punter when he faked the kick, man he was an animal

Such a shame, was going down a Hof path

Sean Taylor was a quality player and freak athlete, but I think he at times can also be an example of a player whose career was cut short being viewed more favourably a few years down the line than they were when they were playing.

He was playing out of his mind for the half season before he was murdered, though.

He was an unbelievable player, terrific .

Today's NFL though would not suit him, his ability to hit was out of this world, whether that's me being revisionist or not , I don't really care.

One of the best players I've ever seen.

He was really good, but he arguably wasn't even a top five safety in the league at that time (Reed, Polamalu, Dawkins, Sanders, he'd be battling with Darren Sharper, Kerry Rhodes, Adrian Wilson, Nick Collins etc for the last spot).

Your opinion and your entitled to it.

    I simply disagree with you.

Yeah the time he started rambling incoherently about his performance the next season for the Rams having completely forgotten he was cut, then thought he was being chased and tried to jump out of a car before being driven straight to a neuropsychiatric hospital sounds like a pretty good performance alright.

    FFS.

Cousins is going to get huge money in FA.

You got the Browns, Jets, Dolphins, Bills, Cardinals, Texans and Broncos who could all do with a serious upgrade at the position.
The Vikings and the Jags could also be in the picture.
Its going to be a mega deal.

A third-round pick and an unnamed player going the other way, per PFT.

Kendal Fuller. A decent enough defensive back. As a Redskins fan I’m just glad the drama is over early this year.

Regardless of who he signs with, he's going to be the highest paid player in the nfl

I’m sure fans of whoever he signs with will be delighted with way he moves the team down the field with ease, building up big stats but the stalling in the red zone and they end up kicking a FG*

    * might not have been all his fault.

Calling it now, Cousins stays in the NFC East and lands in NYC with the Giants..
Eli goes to Jacksonville and reunites with Coughlin...
Brutals to the jets could be very interesting....
Keenum to to the cards or Broncos... with Bradford resigning in Minnesota and bridgewater on a sweet heart show us what you can do back up role.

Chiefs run with Mahomes and Texans have DeShaun Watson

Cant see the Texans making a play for Cousins, they'll have Watson back next season who is becoming the face of their franchise.
Jags would be a serious move, they'd instantly be up there amongst the favourites to be in the Superbowl next year.
I think Broncos would be the best landing spot for him

Aaron Rodgers will sign a new contract this offseason and I doubt Cousins will get more than what Rodgers gets.

I think I'd have to give up on the NFL if this happened!

Hopefully. I'm praying elway doesn't get thick-headed about bringing on a QB and killing another season devoted to Lynch.

I'd draft for a decent one too as well as Cousins to make sure we don;t have a lull when Kirky baby retires.

Anyway, All hypothetical. I can see Trevor taking a snap now in September in my minds eye. Bleugh.

Giants don't have the cap room to spend 29m on Cousins, or whatever he's looking for.

I'm pretty confident Eli starts and plays all of next year tbh.

Jags have to pick up the 5th year option by 1st of March on Bortles. Close to $20M guaranteed then. He has also just had wrist surgery, so the idea of trading him is less I'd say.

I thought the Jags came out and said they were bringing Bortles back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 42,029 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Jags have no choice in the matter if he is not fully recovered from the wrist injury because his last year is $19 million guaranteed if he is still injured on March 1st.

I'd be punching the wall every day for the next month if I was Bortles so.
