8 an over required for the last 20 overs, time to cut loose

Wilson doing what Joyce and Porterfield should have done. Using his feet effectively against the spinners.

The time to take risks has come.

    At this rate we lose.

It's a T20 now for Ireland, and they are still playing like a test.

Surely time for Balbirnie to hit out or get out? He's getting stuck and getting Kevin O'Brien out there mightn't be the worst thing!

Get in down to 80 or 85 off the last 10. Chance then

We're well in this game now.

9 in that over, must be Ireland's highest runs in an over?

Much better over. Remember we have KOB, Mooney, Cussack and Sorensen who can all hit.

Not really. Bookies have UAE at 1.25

Time to start swinging. O'Brien is a good batsman, Mooney and Cusack too.

They were 1/9 a few overs back.

50 needed from the powerplay to have a chance.

Irelands strength is their batting so there is still a lot of hope, boundaries are needed asap though just to ease some of the pressure. Tauqir has bowled brilliantly in fairness and the Uae have fielded quite well. Im clinging to the hope that they tire somewhat near the last few overs and don't handle the pressure of winning. Power play in now

Don't see anyone running 4 too often

Your judging our chances on the odds a bookie gives? Great logic

Maybe if they swing the bat as violently as I'm swinging my inflatable green hammer...

Powerplay so far has been a bit of a damp squib

We need to start hitting for the ropes. The one thing we have is wickets!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,096 ✭✭✭✭the groutch

They were talking about the stock market, Ireland taking about as much risk as putting your gold in Fort Knox.
