Planefinder has it as N897NC G5X, why would he be flying on a US registered aircraft?

Because he'd sell off anything to the Yanks or indeed anyone interested.

It certainly won't be 757's they don't make them anymore, and 20 year old planes aren't exactly Ryanairs style.

Anyone any idea what's going on here? Was there an earlier diversion ? Seems to be positioning ?

Almost certainly, they've been to SNN for training before and doubt it'd be maintenance etc.

EZY is going into a touch and go straight away at SNN, definitely training.

where would it be heading to?

Teruel airport in spain I reckon that is where a lot of the rest of the fleet has gone for storage. Utair have a lot of aircraft stored there at the moment aswell.

EI-DUO off from Shannon now operating EI135, SNN-BOS. It's the first time an A330 has operated this route in over a year!

Yeterdays Boston flight was cancelled so this must be picking up the slack for the two days.

That Alitalia A330 looks to be scheduled for Rome soon. No idea why it stopped in Vienna tbh.

the only flights to Rome on the website are for Aerlingus and Ryanair.

where you seeing it scheduled?wonder if its a charter for something related to people visiting the vatican?

ya its just after leaving now bound for FCO.

i assume it had passengers to drop in Vienna and came to Dublin as a positining flight though its not listed on the website, so it must be private charter or else was delivering something.

would be interested in finding out what it was in for. still think its a vatican charter though it would be listed on the website surely if it was.

using an Atlas Air call sign!

seems they operate the Dreamlifters, which is a bit strange. was in Taranto picking up Dreamliner parts.

cant see them ever going to Airbus, it would be boeing and would be 757.

You make it sound like you're MOL himself :P It'd be a seperate operation from FR, so that would make Airbus more possible. Given Billie's past time at FR he probably knows his stuff here.
