5 top cover aircraft providing bike and helio uplink for the Tour de France between Tarbes/Lourdes and Perpignon over the Pyrennes. Round and round and round they go. TV helicopters have been grounded due to pea sized hail at the finish.

Lol CAT3 is something we only read about in the ATPL manuals!

Only rated for CAT2 - no auto land no auto throttle.

A/P was inop for 2 days, 8 sectors in total and downgraded to Cat 1 only. Wx was perfect yesterday but just above Cat 1 limits the night before. It's what we get paid for after all:D

Interesting insights as always growler  :D

Went to Cork Airport, seen 3 landings and 2 takeoffs, on arrival you could see the terminal building, just before I left you could barely see your hand on front of you, never mind EI722 which took off overhead. Couldn't see it at all.

Anybody here able to rewind movements on Flightradar. Sitting out drinking a beer last night and lots of flights were in a hold just over our house in Navan. Two of them were extremely close and I'm just wondering can anybody see how close they actually were or am I just over excited. T'was around 11pm just over Navan. Both planes were heading north and turning out towards Drogheda and looping back around. Thanks in advance.

They would have been 1000ft vertically separated.

I have a photo I'll post later if I can find it of two aircraft in a hold that look VERY close but are thousands of feet apart.

270 from the Air Corps showing up on Flightradar24. It's not often an Air Corps aircraft appears on it.

When did the aborted takeoff actually happen? I can only get it taking off.

Yeah, all I got was controller asking if he needed services. He declined saying they had a small issue or something to that effect.
