Soooo, decided I could get a little more cardboard into our industrial wheelie bin before the collection company called, up my step ladder, stepped into the bin, the cardboard was probably 2 feet above the lip, so I jumped, and jumped again, next thing the bin takes off and i then fall face first out of it onto the concrete.
Cracked nose, lacerations, ligaments in my right knee and concussion , think my pride hurts most of all though
I'm really sorry Wang because I actually laughed at this. Only because I've done this before and fell out of the bin into a hedge!!
What is it about men of our vintage doing the most ridiculous things. Last week I went around the estate racing the kids on a flicker scooter. One of the mums heard the kids shouting my name and ran to the window thinking something had happened me, only to see me flying past on the scooter!! Gets more embarrassing when two 7 year olds knock our door on Saturday evening and when the wife answered the door they say "can MF come out to play when he's finished his tea"!!0 -

... But I have to admit I chuckled at the image of the whole thing. Bravo.

Ken Shamrock is as light as you can be for a heavyweight going on their weigh ins. Kimbo Slice a full two stone heavier. As soon as he was able to get a few punches in, it was game over instantly.
Shamrock is 51 years old...what on earth is he still doing fighting? Surely with his name and history he could earn a decent crust training people or doing publicity events/motivational speaking?
I couldn't believe it when I saw he was still fighting. I saw the names and assumed it was some sort of charity thing.
If Ken Shamrock can fight, BOD can play 13 for Leinster next season...

Just a general question, I'm thinking of getting a bit more serious with my cycling and aiming at doing the Ring next year. I have a bike, but its not up to much. Thinking of buying second hand, anything i should be looking for and anything I should steer clear of?
Google the Dublin bike man. He has decent second hand bikes. And check out the adverts sub forum on the cycling forum. People often sell bits of use there.
In terms of frame - the lighter the better. In terms of style - a road bike would be better than a hybrid.
Size wise - based on height. Can play around a bit with it though by moving saddle and adjusting handlebars.
Brands. You'll mostly see Giants and Treks. No real substantial difference between the two. Read around the models and see if any adjustments have been made (new group set etc).
Try it before you buy it though. Even a quick spin around the corner to get a feel for it. You're going to be spending a lot of time on it if you're doing the ring.
And when you get it, get a bike fit done for you.
