Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    Meh.

We survived storms up here long before RTE and Met Eireann and their fance bells and whistles gave a jot about us, and we'll survive this one too. It's not even that big a storm, 130kph south westerlies, wouldn't even bring the cat in. We were reared on 110MPH north easterlies around here, and no live blogs or twitters or any of that nonsense.

You're going to dander down the night for a rake of Smithwicks in shorts, vest and flip flops aren't you? :)

    Not I.:)

Despite all the scary net stories of the impending apocalypse, I'm writing this from the back garden whilst playing with the dog.

    Lovely night here so far.

Wind starting to rise a bit here now. So just to be on the safe side I ran out to the garden to rescue Terry and Arthur. Couldn't risk poor arthur getting his head blew off again after last weeks lucky escape.

So the obvious question is. . .

    How big is your garden?

Maybe our military don't have any security threat warnings for the country so just use Met Eireann's instead?

Note to culchies: we understand you lived your entire childhood in constant tornado and hurricane conditions when walking to school with no shoes while herding cows wearing a rucksack full of rocks.

    We get it

Does anyone have a socket under a window, on the wall.

Holy crap, I think my house is falling in. There's wind blowing in the socket.

Can anyone check in their house too?
