So Iona had secret plants in the audience at the Clare Byrne show last night, she exposed them wonderfully i thought...and it's usual batty mouthpiece breda on the panel, and of course her son in the audience doing the 'here's what my mammy meant to say' bit..

But they only laughed, told him “go away!
This is but a joke, we're going to stay.”
And with the coming of first light,
guarded by angels dressed in white
Lot with his wife and his daughters by his side,
left the town for the countryside.
“Flee to the mountains and don't look back,
leave the plain before the attack,”
ordered the angels of God's retribution,
“all will die without exclusion.”
But Lot begging the angels to agree
upon another place of safety.
He chose the little town of Zoar
because it wasn't big or too far.
And the angel bade him hurry there
before the sulphur filled the air
and when the sun was high,
it was time for all to die.
Fire and brimstone they rained down
on Sodom and Gomorrah town.
Every house, every street and alley,
all living things within the valley
were burnt to a cinder, incinerated
because God's love those people hated.
But Lot's wife turned back, I don't know why?
But Lot's wife somehow chose to die!
In a pillar of salt she was encased,
as from Sodom her family raced.
Lot prayed to God the following morning,
thanking him for his mercy and warning
and in the distance he could see
all that remained of the city.
And as for the people of Sodom and Gomorrah,
there would never be tomorrow
Lord, have mercy!

I feel that is the message we need to take away from this.

It's kinda strange that there were two virgins in a city of that repute. Normally you'd say their father kept them locked up but that's obviously not the case here.
