We'd be lucky to get to ten.

    So? What's your point?

Be realistic. We have a chance to finish 4th and alot could change but based on current form it's unlikely.

We've a chance to finish second too.

Yes there is a need for the language, or at least you can ignore it, or see it as a way to inforce the point. Focus on the point made...which is based on our form vs others were not favourites for the top 4.

I'm v pessimistic about our chances as I'm looking at it honestly

Sorry dude im quite giddy and excited about the upcoming match and ive been washed over with a blind optimism about all things in life including Man Utd. Ireland win and I could run with this till wednesday.

Just watching the Arsenal game now, they are playing like us atm.Passing it around slowly and allowing Everton fill in any available space. All to easy to defend against.

Mata stated the blindingly obvious last night,we need to play with more pace. That is how Liverpool are doing well, they move the ball at pace and open teams up.

Predicted final table. I see us getting 21 points of the 33 available.

Tried finding the BBC's version of the predictor but apparently they got rid of it. I found this one (on a Grimsby town website for some reason) and it's basically the same thing....

Would be interesting to see people's final tables.

    Team Pts
    Chelsea 92
    Man City 82
    Liverpool 73
    Man Utd 72
    Arsenal 70
    Spurs 66

That was my prediction, we aren't too far off each others, bit worrying, the game against Arsenal I feel is going to be crucial

Small enough chance. 5 point gap is essentially 6 with city's superior goal difference.

Funnier things have happend. I'd say you were a barrel of positivity around the 89th minute in 99.

    Exactly

They're also better than us even in their current form

    Anyways :-/

Yeah because that's the same thing. For fluck sake.

We had form, a winning mentality, ability to clutch victories in the dying moments, oh and we had great players in a settled formation.

What do you want, honesty or blind positivity?

I hope I'm wrong but I haven't seen anything to give me optimism that we will finish in top 4 comfortably nevermind 2nd.

    Betting w/o chelsea city(third essentially) Arsenal 8/13 Man U 11/4 Liverpool 5/1

    Top 4 betting arsenal 1/6 man u 4/6 liverpool 5/4

Nothing I can see for top 2 or without chelsea though

Bit of both I'm not saying were gunna win te league but why even bother competing if your always looking over your shoulder .

With that Manchester United team we should beat Liverpool. We will get top 4.

Even if we drop points to pool they will drop points to lower teams, they always do. Your better off looking in front than behind.

    When it comes to optimism:

    Januzaj playing well.
De Gea the best in the league.
Smalling playing well since heis woeful game against City.
Rooney back up front and scoring.
    Herrera playing well.
    Rojo
    Young

Yeah Di Maria has lost all form. Falcao not hitting the back of the net, positive signs from Falcao yesterday, should have been two penalties not one.

It's not all doom and gloom.

The only Liverpool player I'd have in the United team is Sterling which makes how bad United have been and how good Liverpool are playing now all the more depressing.

Whatever about this season, City squad needs major investment and if FFP rules are as strict as they want us to believe then they will find it very hard to rebuild.

Most of their players will be 30 or 30 plus next season and their midfield is non existent.

Coutinho, Skertel and a fit Sturridge would also imo

Sakho is a better player than Skrtel tbh. It's just the media have a pre conceived notion of him and it sticks. Same thing that I felt Nani had to put up with for so long.

Yeah other than the fact United have a better player on the bench in his position.

In your opinion. Couldn't disagree more.

    Mata I assume you mean?

Hard to know if mata is still better. He was two years ago tho. I do think countinho is faster and pressed better which would be important for United right now.

Depressing that Liverpool team can click, the only player I'd take is Sterling as an upgrade to Januzaj

Sterling isn't fit to lace Januzaj boots, dont be silly

Mata has certainly been the better player overall. But Coutinho is definitely in form atm and Mata rarely plays, Depends on if you mean who's better on current form or overall tbh.

The crazy thing is all those rubbish players are playing well with David Brent as manager...
