We all want that every week.

    Sadly:

Looks like a young Clive Allen on the right there!

Know the feeling - though my starting base is London.
Still get to a few of the away games in London each season.

Doesn't look like we will be doing any business this transfer window. The media are gas. All last summer it was Vidal coming, Vidal not coming. This window e has not been mentioned once. Still think he is a more realistic signing than Pogba

Pirlo briefly comments on the prospects of his team mate Paul Poga rejoining Man United...

"For whatever reasons they chose not to give him a chance - and that is a mistake they will have to live with now. I can’t see that he (Pogba) will ever return to Manchester United."

"Of course he is going to have options - he knows that. You can’t play at the level he is and not attract attention - but he also knows that at Juventus he is already at one of the biggest clubs in Europe."

Does Pirlo know this because Pogba directly told him, or is Andrea reading between the lines and just making his own conclusions? Or is this just a classic case of a player trying to quell speculation about his club's MVP leaving?

I would love to see Pogba return, however, not before money is spent on our backline. If United have £70+m to spend on Pogba, then surely they have half of that to activate the release clause on one of the 3-4 CBs who would immediately upgrade our defense.

Slightly off-topic lads, anyone recommend a good hotel near OT other than the Premier Inn? It's booked out for the Villa Match in April.

What type of thing you looking for? I stayed at the Ibis budget last time I was over, very cheap and clean. TV, Wifi, Shower, Jax, Bed. What else would one need?

Victoria warehouse (I think that's the name) over near Sam platts where they hold the red square functions. Grand rooms for decent prices

Oh, and I don't mind taking the hit if wrong. Rumours of a new DDG contract til 2020

Premier Inn Salford Quays is a 20 minute walk or Holiday Inn Media City (10-15 walk) is where we stay. Get the Holiday Inn discounted through work so no idea what the list price might be. One of the downers about going to OT is how absolutely **** it is to get out of there and back into the city so those hotels work for me.

Some may class the transfer as bad as the Bebe deal in terms of being completely unproven and over priced and actually we will lose more money on him that Bebe. zaha also had a contract that saw him earn £3.6m since he signed.

Both decent players but a level or two below United quality. It bugs me that we spent obscene money on these two players while other areas were neglected and other clubs picked up far better players for a fraction of what we paid.

SportMediaset.it @Sport_Mediaset · 2h 2 hours ago Il Manchester United ha rinnovato il contratto di De Gea fino al 2020 con ritocco dell'ingaggio

Which google translates as Manchester United have renewed the contract of De Gea until 2020 with retouching engagement

It's the only place I've seen it though. I would expect it to be reported in England or Spain before Italy if true though.

I buy mine off a season ticket holder I know. I thought it's confirmed for Saturday at 3pm last time I checked which was in November I think. Open to correction.

So I just realised I will be in Manchester on the 4th. Might sound silly but how do I go about getting tickets? Do I just sign up on the site and then call the number quoted? Or is there an easier way of getting them? Havent a clue.

I think Zaha definitely has a lot of talent in his locker.

He was a player that was pushed on Moyes as he was signed when SAF was still at the club. If SAF had stayed on, we could've seen Zaha managed better and become a quality winger. By many accounts Zaha's attitude was problematic but the way in which a young player like that is introduced into the first team can have a big bearing on their development.

If we sell Nani and Zaha this summer and don't buy a winger and I still see Valencia smash the ball off defenders shins next season, I give up

which is why i feel cuadrado would be great. I'd hate to see him go to Chelsea

Haven't seen enough of him to know really. Would have loved if we went for Sanchez last summer. I'd like to see Depay in the summer personally.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,346 ✭✭✭✭homerjay2005

Makes me a little ill inside when I think that Fergie pubically said we wouldn't pay the £5m agent fees for Hazard yet were happy to do it for Bebe and then spent another £10m on Zaha.

when you see other deals such as 90k a week sanctioned for Ashley Young, a 5 year contract for Nani and Valencia you'd wonder what the f*ck is going on in our club

Don't think we could have fit both di Maria and him in.

Would have preferred di Maria in the summer.
