Hope Powell becomes a good player and a good career. Seems likable.

Reading that Januzaj's agent has said PSG put in a bid on him this window, and it was turned down, with LVG saying that he won't be leaving (loan or transfer) as he's needed for the squad.

I thought Januzaj got better and better as the match progressed last Friday. He needs more game time and he offers pace which we need, badly.

That was a great ball from Anderson for Powells miss, both deserve a chance in the first team again.

Has to be a wind up

That Anderson has great potential, we saw some glimpses of it tonight.

Best thing United could do is get this guy tied down to a long term contract NOW !

    Also

Laporte's buyout clause is £31 million, so United should just pay up and get him.

Then we need another Argentinian....Godin and French man:Varane. Need Di Maria and Rojo to be a super agents and convince Godin to join.

I wouldn't mind three at the back, once the three are the right quality, currently they are not.

Jones has lost his confidence, currently due an injury.
Evans too hasn't progressed, Smalling maybe the best of that trio.

Anyway I think get Laporte if at all possible this window, need to start replacing Vidic and Rio...
Atletico Madrid's Diego Godin would be £28.5m, Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels will command £30m and Nicolas Otamendi at Valencia has also been discussed but the Spanish side want his buy-out figure of £37m.

I think Godin is currently one of the very best central defenders in the world right now.

Daily Mail, claim it is is a battle between United and Real Madrid for Laporte.

I think if the defense was fixed it would help the team score more goals.
This is the United team at Present

    In goal we have confidence.
In defense we have low confidence.
In Midfield we have midfielders concerned with the the defense before anything else.
In attack we have poor service to the attackers as the rest of the team is concerned about the defense before anything else.

A good defense would transform the team in my opinion.

I see a small problem with your plan :-)

More Bebe, the usual leave United and you improve...

Kinda suggests that Sport Witness doesn't see Varane being allowed leave.

As far as Laporte goes, the last thing we need to do is buy a young center back with potential.

    We need experienced defenders.

Should see a strong side next week if the next match is 10 days away.

For some reason I read the west ham game as the 24th.

Same team as last week so.

that Cambridge replay is a farce. the BBC website had it up as 19.45 on the wednesday and this was put up on the FA website yesterday morning as confirmed.

we booked our flights about 10 minutes later and then an hour later, BT announed it was moved to the Teusday. €200 down the drain between us.

    :o:o:o:o:o

That is very irresponsible by the FA and the BBC if they simply put it up but not taking into account who would be on TV.

I am heading to the Swansea away game and Spurs at home in March.

I won't be in the United section for the Swansea game, as be in with Welsh boys.

That be my lot for season I say. I miss the days of just going over whenever I liked.

It'll be 2-0,over 70% possession and 2 late goals but we won't be happy again with the performance as we watch Carrick & the backline aimlessly pass the ball to each other as nauseum with the odd run forward by Valencia before he ignores anybody ahead of him, turns around and passes it back to Jones who will lump it forward.
Falcao will run himself into the ground and get 3 touches of the ball and everyone will say he's a waste of money despite many not even seeing the game and how we can't seem to manage any interplay or through balls to match his runs,Herrera will get 10 minutes and look class, once more leaving us baffled as to why he doesn't start yet the man with no skill get's into the team on the right every game.

LVG will praise our ball retention and compactness against "Fester".

Heading to the Spurs game myself, first time I'll be back in the Stretford End for a couple of seasons.
If you hear fellas over there saying 3-5-2 is "Quare Bad", that'll be the Wexford Crew.

I'm hoping for United to beat Cambridge and Preston to beat Sheffield. My sister lives in Preston so I'd be looking to get my hands on an away ticket.
