    Got to love Nintendo's innovation.

Since when did the original PS1 controller not have any Start or Select buttons?

I think that's because of the way the PS4 controller morphs back into it and the placement of the start and select buttons on the PS4 controller. You can see them quite briefly before it changes into the dual shock controller.

I'm assuming that they used the younger more handsome Dualshock 3 rather than his older idiot brother the Sixaxis.

It also forgets the myriad official controllers made by third parties for the carious consoles.
Namco have played a blinder over the years tbh
They made both my favourite, the NeGcon, and my most reviled, JoGcon, controllers for the PS.
They also made my little paddle controller for Namco Museum and some great arcade sticks.

I canny keep up the power cap'n!

I don't know who is who any more!

And couple that with ubiquitous icon changes as well!

    What's going on people?

    Should I join in?

What username should I change mine to?

    ColostoMe/ColostoU?
    DribblingSphincter?
    SoRgloryDenier?

I was just thinking about that yesterday when EnterNow/Myrddin mentioned Keithgeo/Optimus in a different thread. Boards should block long time users from changing their name or avatar, too confusing! :D

I blame Luas Dublin for starting it all. :P

I think changing the avatars is worse or 2 people having the same. That's what I look at. I keep calling people by the original usernames

I just found out, Sam Simon, one of the guys who made The Simpsons quite possibly the biggest pop culture driving force on television, died from cancer. All I can say is, I wish his family well.

Are you sure that isn't John Swartzwelder? I hear he's fairly reclusive.

    Or became Ron Swanson. Whatever.

I think if a regular changes username they should at least come on the general thread here and re-introduce themselves :)

Ah, mixed up readyletsgo with richie. :(

Well other than Limerick I'd also associate you with that handy Chrome feature - double click a word, right click and 'Search Google for ....' - so I can understand what lolita and lolicon and lots of other stuff means. :p

    In other words:

So, anyone remember where we put O1s1n?
I thought we left him on the side table along with the car keys but when I went back I couldn't find him anywhere....
Maybe he got lost in his pantry?
I know, the house labyrinth traps weren't all decommissioned after all!

CiDeRmAn, you'd lurk in one or two of the same arcades as myself, in Dublin, mid to late 90s, along with a certain internet cafe on O'Connell street..

Can you remember an arcade game in the arcade behind Clery's? The one at the intersection of Marlborough Street, Earl Street North?

    Marloborough_Arcade_Dublin.jpg

You'd come in through the main entrance on Marlborough Street, there'd be Pocket Gal and Neo Turfmasters to your right, you'd be facing Virtua Fighter (..or Killer Instinct) further down, and the mystery game would be on the right, to the right of Virtua Fighter, which was just before the main cashier enclosure.

    Risky_Challenge01.pngRisky_Challenge02.png

..it was like Risky Challenge but with much darker levels, a lot of flames/lava and you'd 'pull' block choices down from the top of the screen, to help your lemmings get to their gate. There was a rather strict timer for each level, and less variety in the blocks, compared to Risky Challenge, no bombs for instance. Though the blocks offered could have spikes, so the player had to arrange things in a certain way to survive.

[vague recollections]The game logo on the screen may have been circular and green, it may have been Spanish, with the words 'iso', or 'super iso' in it.[/vague recollections]

It was a popular game, as you could last on it for ages, it wasn't uncommon to see people playing to Level 75, Level 80 and beyond. A lot of fire and lava.. as I said, the visuals were very dark compared to Risky Challenge.

I just need a name, any leads, I'm more obsessed about this than I'd care to admit!

You introduced me to MAME, as far as I can recall, I think I was watching you play 1941 in the internet cafe.. and I asked you about it.

    That was Barney's.

They even had a Time Traveler cab at one point. That was the awful laser disc game that displayed holograms.
