55% captaincy for Aguero in the top 10k. I'm surprised Bony is 2nd place with 10%; would have thought more love for Hazard than 6%.

I think your being a bit harsh on villa they had an awful run of fixtures Chelsea arsenal city spurs everton and have been done with 2 late goals the last 2 weeks.

exactly if southampton conceded a bucket load in the next few GW's, doesn't mean their defence is a mess just run of games against big teams can take it toll, plus they have defence injurys.

22 points from 5 players. hopefully Henderson gets 3 bonus to make it 25. Big hitters all playing tomorrow incl. aguero captain. Not a bad week gw so far.

    15 (-4) from 6.

I think one of my biggest mistake this season was getting King instead of Boyd during my GW4 WC. I guess I would have played him both times he scored. Instead had to take pts hit to accomodate for my non playing players (including King). Also he rose to £4.5m saturday morning. 1 day later and he was part of my Hazardous double move... When things don't want to turn your way they just don't :(.

Ah well, Hazard will define how good or bad my pts hit was. I'm a little annoyed I debated Wilson -> Hutton (instead of King -> Ameobi) but AV def get more pts away than home so long term they're a FF pain in the a*se.

BTW, already lost my 2 Cup games (both Prem and League Cup). Of cours emy 2 opponents had Boyd playing ...

    --- edit ---

Ameobi just shows now a yellow flag. It will just never stop  :(...

As a Villa fan, getting Guzan may have been a mistake. Don't think my heart could take that last 20 minutes.

    ESPs are in.
18 from 5 so far but guaranteed 27 from 6 when Boyd subs in for Rooney.
5 to play tomorrow including Captain Aguero, happy enough for now but it will all hinge on tomorrow.

Downing holds onto one bap, I'll take it.

16 from 6 with Aguero (C), Fab, Hazard, Sanchez and Chambers to go tomorrow.

I need a huge performance from Hazard to keep up with my main rivals...

Esp added. 2bps for Boyd will leave me on 15 from 4

    Other notable bps
    Sterling 1
    Gerrard 2
    Mata 2
    Fellani 1
    Hutton 2
    Downing 1

Boyd and Bony get any bps?

Climbing back up the table in Ultimate FPL, 13th overall after today's effort (49). Have passed the thousand point mark too.

Expect a drop in overall ranking there after tomorrow but hopefully can hold a top 20 position

25(-16) with 6 to play - Hazard(C) Eriksen Sanchez(V) Azpi Chambers Baines - Definitely could be worse! :p

27 from 6, average i'd say, Baines, Sanchez, Fab, Yaya and Aguero (c) to go tomorrow. Hopefully City go wild and Yaya gets a goal and assist at least :)

28 from 6 could be worse but captain fail, points hit, Boyd first sub and Aguero to come make it a disaster.

And I'm out of biscuits. Sigh.

Had some great weeks, some not so great but this is the first one that's really been depressing.

The whole RVP punt has cost me hugely, mainly cause if I'd left Costa in (and I always intended to get him back after two weeks max) I'd have had to play Boyd so I'm 11 points worse off. But it gets worse cause I changed the captaincy to RVP from Aguero at 7.00, had never intended to captain him, but got a rush of blood when Rooney was not playing, so I'm also gonna be down whatever Aguero scores tomorrow. The whole thing could end up costing me 20+ points, if I'm lucky. Easily my worst decision of the season, if not my FPL career.

Media blackout for me tomorrow night from 8.00ish, then check in after to see how bad it is.

24 (-4) from 5... It would have been 33 (0) from 5 if I had gone on the lash after work and left RVP alone!

Anyway, 6 to go tomorrow but no captain.
Chambers, Coleman, Sanchez, Oscar, Tadic and Aguero.

As long as Hazard and especially Aguero don't go nuts then it shouldn't be a disaster.
There's faint hope that Oscar may be rested (Boyd) and a differential like Coleman or Tadic may surprise.

I don't suppose there's a faint hope it will emerge that RVP didn't actually play tonight, it was actually a cardboard cut out, and that Boyd will therefore sub in for me and my VC will come in.....no, didn't think so.....

27 is far over average. The only biggy who scored tonight is... Boyd :pac: (it's actually wrong, he's only owned by 3.2% managers, just the ones facing me in H2H :pac:). Then it comes down to having 2 of Downing, Bony, Ings, a Swans def, a Villa def.

    6 players you say? 2 pts average = 12. With Boyd = 19. With one of the above list = 23. With 2 = 27.

With the exception of Downing (13%) these players hardly show more than 10% ownership.

So average is much lower than that.

    --- edit ---

    Confirmed by FPL Discovery table

    # | Random Sample |Top 10K
    Number of Managers | 20,000 | 10,000
    GW14 Average Score | 13.4 | 17.4
Average Points Deducted for Point Hits | 0.7 | 1.4
    Players Played per Team (out of 12) | 3.6 | 4.7
    Captains Played | 13.1% | 17.1%

As bad decisions go it stinks, but hey, it was worth a punt, he was after scoring and Stoke at home is tasty.... Maybe we didn't need to captain the bugger though :(

Another 1 pointer from Aguero and we'll be fine...

Hopefully Gibbs will be no where to be seen tomorrow night

    Hutton comes in then

My nearest rival in my private league brought in and captained Wilson haha.

17(-4) from 5, not great. Big guns still to play tomorrow though.

18 with 7 including my captain to play, happy enough but its annoying to see Boyd and Hutton on my bench and very unlikely to come in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,029 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

The average for the top 10k is 17.4

but based on how many players?
from what i can see 17.4 is average based on 4.7 players playing,

I don't have say chelsea/man city defenders which many probably do.

Anyway 2 weeks ago i was slight above average but fell 70k places so hit and miss.

13 points is the overall GW average so far

So you're about 1 player down. This player will need 10 pts for everyone to make your result the average.

Not sure many have City def.

You have 5 big hitters including (C) still to play. You'd need to be extremely unlucky tomorrow to not finish comfortably above average (even top 10K average).

What you said about 2 weeks ago sounds strange though. You must have been very highly ranked for that to happen.

Brought dummet in for Hutton last night. Had I kept him I would have got 34 points. Typical.
