I did the captain poll so might as well do the matchday thread while I'm at it. :)

This is what I'm rolling with:

    Foster
    Hutton Chambers Baines
    Siggy Sanchez Hazard Downing
    Austin Aguero (c) Rooney (v)

    Mannone - Boyd Clyne Yun

I'm off out for the day, may all your captain choices score double digits. ;) Enjoy the matches folks.

Last two gw have been rotten to me.

Surely this cannot continue/Aguero to save me please.

    I love midweek gameweeks!!!

Waiting on Duff injury news before makinga decision. Might take a 4 point hit too. I was going to start Clyne against Arsenal but Schneiderlin makes me want to sell him now along with Duff and bring in 2 solid defenders for 9.7m

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

    Ddg
    Naylor Terry wisdom
    Siggy sanchez fab hazard
    Ings Aguero austin
My first 9 players listed are at home. Not sure on captaincy could be any of the front 7 bar austin. Still have 5 million in the bank.

Love the madness of midweek gameweeks!

    Guzan
    Chambers Dummett Baines Wisdom Azpi
    Mata Fabregas Siggy
    Austin Aguero (c)

    Subs: Tadic Brady Costa

Hoping Mata can be a good differential while ADM is out.

Yeah OP, 4 days early! Sheesh, I should ban you for trying to trick people into believing there's a gameweek starting tonight.

    Fabianski
    Baines, Duff, Wisdom (Robertson, Coloccini)
    Sanchez, Hazard, Fabregas, Downing (Wanyama)
    Aguero (c), Rooney, Austin

I was originally going to captain Hazard but after seeing the FFS captain poll I just can't go against the grain here. Have to go with Aguero. Too much ground would be lost if he shoots the lights out.

Rooney another option........I can't do it though

    Foster
    Baines Ivanovic Cresswell Dummett Naylor
    Hazard Sanchez Siggy
    Austin Aguero

Really need some clean sheets from my 6 defenderd

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,186 ✭✭✭G1032

A work colleague has just pointed out to me that Hazard's home record this season reads like this:

    9, 2, 3, 11, 10, 11

That's double figures in his last 3 home games. Spurs have a very leaky defense. Might switch back to Hazard. He was my original gut instinct pick.

I'll post this in GW Captain thread too.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

    I'm going with:
    Green

    N.Taylor Azpilicueta Baines Chambers

    Sanchez Hazard Sigurdsson Chadli

    Aguero (C) Austin

Subs: Hamer, Boyd, Wilson, Costa (SUS)

Tempted to go with Boyd's guaranteed start over Chadli who may only play a short amount of the game as he's coming back from injury, but I'll stick with the above.

Chances are I won't get to see any team news or change my team pre-kick off now due to work which is the only thing I dislike about the midweek games. Anyway, good luck all. :)

    Guzan
    Baines, Dummett, Cresswell
    Hazard, Siggy (VC), Fab, Sanchez
    Austin, Ings, Aguero (C)

    Jakupovic, Downing, Bertrand, Wisdom

Planning to bank my transfer for the first time this season, but that could all change depending on release of team news before the games this evening! :D

looking at Newcastle's injuries and suspensions makes me happier about playing boyd

Looking forward to tonight, may have to wander down to the pub again for the duration. What game is live on Sky anyone know?

    Green
    Duff, Dummet, Chambers
    Sanchez, Hazard, Eriksen, Downing
    Aguero, Bony, Van Persie

Captaincy undecided, but don't think I'll be going for RVP. Bony, Hazard and Aguero are my candidates.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,881 ✭✭✭✭dahat

Need Milner to start tonight before he departs. If he plays it 3-5-2 but Clyne as sub if he doesn't play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,255 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

    I line out as follows:

    Elliott
    Wisdom, Naylor, Chambers, Dummett
    Siggy, Fabregas, Hazard, Sanchez
    Aguero (c), Austin
Subs: Green, Costa (out), Marney, Moore
    2.8 mil banked.

My transfer plan for the week of Fabregas to Hazard was thrown into disarray when Di Maria got injured. I'm now left with three Chelsea players so I can't bring in Terry after tonight as I had planned. Not expecting a great midweek score with Costa missing. I'm beginning to think I'll dump him for the Xmas fixtures. He's proving more trouble than he's worth and I'm dreading the week where I captain him and he gets a red.

    -4 done:D

I don't know what to expect. After 2 very average weeks would be nice to score 60-70 points.

I won't be around this evening but will make sure not to leave before the team news to make sure my captain starts.

    Good luck everyone.

    Forster

    Chambers-Wisdom-Azpilicueta

    Downing-Mata-Eriksen-Sanchez

    Aguero(C)-Ayoze-Bony

    Thoughts??

The power is out at home today so it better be back when I get home for a final tinker.

Might reduce the chances of me doing something incredibly stupid with the WC being active :pac:

Catch ye later all going well!

Sadly City play tomorrow so no lineup before lock. I don't see Pellegrini resting Kun personally; he knows it's a tough match and opportunity to catch up Chelsea.

If newcastle are missing all the players they are supposed to be missing I may do the unthinkable and captain ings.

    Lol at meself:D

Yeah - we shouldn't be worried about Aguero at all.

Would be nice to see it on paper before the gameweek starts, though.

Should I bench Dummett and play Clyne or Wasilewski() instead?

He has no one to rest him for. Dzecko is injured and Jovetic isn't capable of leading the line like Kun does.

He plays till he breaks IMO.

I'd play Dummett burnley are still quite capable of blanking

I agree with this. But I'd still Captain Ings in your position... ;)

You guys play H2H this week?

If you do I'll put both of you on ignore list until the weekend.

Still considering it the thing is if burnley score there is a huge chance ings will be involved however this game could quite easily end 0 0 .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,881 ✭✭✭✭dahat

    Adrian

    Baines Chambers Caulker

    Siggy Hazard Sanchez. Boyd. Milner

    Austin. Aguero (c)

Starting with a -4 but that team isn't so bad on paper. Hopeful of a respectable score.

    Guzan
    Baines Duff Dummett
    Eriksen Sterling Sanchez Hazard(V) Siggy
    Austin Rooney(C)

    Gilks - Isla Moore Costa

Starting on -4. May take the armband off Rooney, depending on how Man U line up, but probably not. He's on great form. Good luck amigos

Wisdom, Wanyama or Kane for the last spot on my team. I'm thinking Wisdom as Kane could well blank against Chelsea although 2 WBA defenders could be risky.
    Team is
    Kuzan
    Wisdom, Dawson, Clichy, Chambers
    Fellani, Sanchez, Hazard, Fabregas,
    Rooney, Aguero,
Subs: Hamer, Kane, McNair and Wanyama

You would have thought so but when the manager is saying we will see tomorrow he must have a chance.
