I seem to have wandered into the golf forum by accident.

Didn't the sniper in the movie Behind Enemy Lines wear a tracksuit?
Edit: After some googling, it wasn't a traditional tracksuit and he definitely dressed in layers.

Snipers are different. They don't have to wear camo.
Hunters do because if they don't pheasants won't fly near them if they're wearing ordinary clothes :P

Is camo not more of a fashion thing? The closest you'll see to camo in my club is olive green army surplus stuff, and its more because its cheap and warm and lasts years.

I still have my uncles old FCA uniform. Green combats and big heavy green fleece. Only on really cold morning would I wear the fleece. And even then after 5 mins I'd be sweating in it.

Depends on who you ask. Though I do remember that the most amusingly negative views on wearing camo at a civilian target shooting range (as opposed to when out hunting) came from actively serving defence forces soldiers. Make of that what you will...

    My point exactly.

Something I disagree with, though I've worn camo in the past, but again it was the material more so than the colour.

I nearly always wear a hoodie of some form shooting. Weather or not it's the outer Layer or middle depending on the weather. Mostly green or dark plain colours not not some Nike or addidas fashion hoody.
I've never worn tracksuits for a few reasons. Lack of pockets. **** pockets. Some are noisy. The ones I have would soak up water and be wet and heavy on no time.

It was a stupid thread to start in the first place in my opinion. Some lads just love looking down there noses at other lads. Jealousy I think is the reason he made the comment on the video in the first place. I would never dream of making a comment like that to anyone.

Makes not one bit of difference what someone wears as long as they feel comfortable in it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 596 ✭✭✭The other fella

If i had a comfortable old tracksuit, id definitely wear it if i was going out rolling around the fields for the day.

Id see it as a much, much better option than wearing a shirt and tie like some do.

A tie...to go shoot an animal in a field.I cant see any reason for doing so besides delusions of grandeur.

No offence meant by that post, i just cant see the use of a tie in a field.

Wear whatever you want and makes you feel comfortable.
That said if you turn up like partyboy from Jackass, I'll be walking in front.

ye are missing the point here its hunting lads i wear a camo pants with a string holding it up because i'm ''Rough shooting'' so what if the lad was wearing a tracksuit we're not living in Britain with their suits going to a peg shoot, in all fairness the guy is uploading videos for our entertainment and sport mind i add. more in yer line to start trying to save our sport which is in very dangerous place and we are on the verge of loosen than bashing some lad for wearing what he wants while hunting.
