People don't give a damn about his misses because they see he's trying his heart out. Honest lad who seems to actually care rather than the mercenaries in the team who have twice his ability but do fcuk all with it.

yep and he would actually be kicking himself about that miss, he really does care

first name on teamsheet for a while

He should reach double figures come the end of the season. I wonder will he play midweek or be rested? How the tables have turned. There's no way I thought he'd be our main striker.

He is doing a good job and i for one have totally changed my mind on him . Gave him a very hard time at the start of the season but its 11 of his kind of mentality that we need

This is the Harry Kane thread. The Andros Townsend thread is a little further down the page. :)

I agree, think he is developing every game he plays.

His headed goal was very impressive too. Has been a really long time since I've seen a Spurs played jump over a defender to head a goal

He was outstanding today, worked his socks off, two great goals, showed some great touches and composure. If i was 12 again, he would be my hero.

We all did, none of us thought he'd do as well as he has... long may it last

I predicted at the start of the season that he'd make the England squad. I was ridiculed.

He still has a way to go though. Needs to do it over a couple of seasons so no point getting carried away just yet. Have to admit, he is doing better than I ever thought he could though.

I will say, though, I knew he had a football brain the day at Old Trafford when, with us under the cosh and defending a 2-1 lead, he was in an offside position but not active. Rather than trot back and let United come right back at us again, he made himself active by booting the ball out of play. Quick thinking and funny at the same time.
