I'm not saying that's a bad thing but say I was pro church, anti gay marriage, anti homosexuality, pro life there are fewer & fewer places where I can feel safe expressing my views.

It may not be feasible for me to join a right wing fundamentalist christian group & many of my age are not internet savvy.

In many instances these people are our relations, our parents, part of an older Ireland.
Is there a sadness that their ways & beliefs have been completely eroded ?

Sunday mass? In fact, many churches do daily services.

The part that is being eroded is the ability to force that belief onto everybody.

No, times have changed. Why should homosexuals be discriminated against? Why shouldn't they be allowed to marry?
The backward thinking has finally stopped.
Once the older generation dies then our generation and the one after us wont (possibly) have the same views as the generation of old.
I couldn't care about the church, nor about homosexuals marrying. Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

pro life- I've never met anybody(that I know of!)who's anti life.

My mam is 69 and her friend recently told her that her daughter had come out as a lesbian. My mam said "so what and as long as she's happy that's all that matters". So I guess all older people don't think in the same way.

Do people who are bigoted know they're bigoted? I thought they thought they were just right.

I am young but I would hold similar views to yourself.

I think homosexuality is an unnatural thing and is actually harmful to society.

In a pub OP, after a ten drink minimum the golden rule of drunk talk trumps any laws of the land, sweet beautiful drunk talk. Only in the sanctum of the pub though, once you go onto the street you're fcuked. :)

I'd say thanks for the sympathy, but the cultures wars are far from over. In spite of seeing the erosion of traditional Western values and their slide into oblivion into a nihilistic value free mindet beyond toleration for all except for all that disagree with the PC world view, the traditional values and morals will endure.

Watching porn, Drinking alcohol and drugs are more harmful to society than homosexuality and i guarantee that you have done at least 2 of those things.

We have values of tolerance and acceptance which in my view is better than bigotry and blindly believing what you're told.

You can guarantee nothing, how is watching porn harmful to society?

It is harmful to women! It gives men the idea that women are merely objects to be used and discarded.
