Found it for €579.99 in Poland, but yeah, I might go for a refurbished/used one.

Total for these parts excluding the rear electric sunshade is €3,696 incl. the engine swap and alloys.
Engine swap and alloys on their own are €1,700 like.

Don't spend the money. Save it and down the line, buy a car that has all these things already. You'll never make your money back with an investment like that.

Get an intravee kit and an ipod classic instead of the cd changer , much better

Thought that was for Navigation only?

Nah , works with the business radio too , even still though , a full e46 nav retrofit and intravee would be 6-700

You'd probably buy the equivalent car for like €2500 over here, why spend all that money?

I'd think carefully before you do so much with the car, pick out a few of the ones you really want and maybe change those. But in my view, the car is pushing on in years, it's not making much sense to be spending such a colossal amount, it's up to you though!

Sooo... finished the Mod & Upgrades list for my E46.
    What do you think?

BMW M Steering Wheel / Steering Wheel Retrim (32342282020)
BMW M Performance Black Kidney Grille (51132158538)
    M54B30 Engine Swap
    BBS LM (Reps?) Alloys 18”
BMW M3/M-Sport Complete Interior Electric & Heated in Black
    BMW E46 Cupholders (51168217953)
BMW Automatic Leather Shift Knob (25167533347)
BMW Steptronic Gear Shifter Cover (51167060677)
BMW Interior Trim - Silver Titan (51457046965KT)
BMW LED Tail Light Set - Smoked/Red (E462TREDLEDSMK)
BMW E46 Clubsport Carbon Splitters (51117895564)
BMW E46 Rear Electric Sunshade (Very Rare!)
    BMW 6 CD Changer (65126913390KT)

    All new parts.

I think you got caught with a lemon buying that car, you should hate it imo. Regardless that upgrade list is ludicrous.

Oh yes, think I spoke too soon, peugeot still isnt gone, so took it for a drive yesterday, whenever you put into reverse, even when the car is stationary and clutch is fully in, the gear catches fairly substantially, just reverse though, but if it's in another gear and you go straight to reverse without coming off the clutch, it's fine?

    Why buy new parts?

Get good second-hand/refurbed parts and it'll cost a lot lot lot less.

And don't spend all that money and put reps on it. :(

Thoughts on RR Evoque? Bit girly perhaps?

Would it be mad to bring one in and make it a commercial?

Friends of my parents bought a brand new one when they came out around 2912. I was in it a few times and it's really nice comfortable too. There one is the 2.2 and it's rediculously good on diesel for what it is.

you may take out the X5 and Vw touareg.

F15 if you mean the fighter jet , otherwise RR evogue !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,191 ✭✭✭NewApproach

What makes the evoque better than an x5 though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,191 ✭✭✭NewApproach

F15 is the new shape X5

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,957 ✭✭✭Kopparberg Strawberry and Lime

F15 is the new shape X5

i know X5's to be very disastrous and expensive to fix when they do go wrong.

i reckon they go wrong a lot more than range rovers of the new kind.

This is the first time this year I really wish I had my car on the morning commute. My face had to act as a crumple zone.

    You alright?
I'm fairly sick of my bike at this stage.
Was tempted to take my Mazda this morning... Wouldn't be the first time either. #guilty

Hope you're all good ba. I used to cycle close to 40km a day when I was in college. The amount of injuries I racked up was incredible. Face planted the back of a bus once. That was fun.

Jaysis!. That reminds me, must get lights for my bike.

X5 and Touareg are a completely different size and class to an Evoque. Personally I found the Evoque to be very small on the inside.
