Think about sticking with 25R firmware until Jellybean gets released if you like maximum battery power, I haven't seen a reason to move from it yet anyway.

Did you log in and watch something though? The app works to a point but when you try and watch something it tells you the device is not compatible or some other BS.

Yeah watched some things on catch up and then went in to a few different live stations(channel four, sky sports, comedy central ) and it all worked fine. No problem with any of it.

Sorry for all the questions, but as you may have gathered I like to do my fair share of research before buying a phone!
Does the One Plus One work on 3 Ireland's 4G network?
    Thanks in Advance!

That's interesting. I'll have to recheck.
What ROM are you on? I'm running 44s.

Same here with Sky Go. Initially it didn't work but there was an update to the app recently suggesting "now working on all android devices".

It's not really important now as I just realised it's working.
dunleas posted that Sky updated the app recently which seems to have done the trick.
If you're interested in identifying your version of CM anyway watch this video and you'll see the "CyanogenMod Version"

My OPO is rooted. Just downloaded the Sky Go app. It shows me what's on etc but when I go to play a program it says rooted devices are not supported. Any way to mask the root status?

The Sky Go app will only work on your OPO as long as it has not been unlocked and rooted ....

Over the last week my opo has been turning off with about 15% battery left and is dead so have to charge.
    Anyone else had this?
Used the calibrate battery app but no joy.
Read on the opo forums to wait till its dead then charge for 6 hours while off. Then turn on and do this 3 times. Should sort it out. Thought I'd share.
Will let you know how I get on over the next week

Got mine last night after ordering during last wednesdays no-invite deally. No yellow on the screen which was a concern and getting LTE on Three up to 35Mb/s.... oh yes.
Its a monster of a phone though, barely fits in the cubby on the dashboard of my car.

Just curious is it safe to use a regular adaptor with the phone?
    I assume it is

What speeds are people getting on Threes 4g in around Dublin?
I do be lucky to get 7/8mb right in the city centre, swapped in a Vodafone sim and their 3g was faster than my 4g.

Saw it doing 24 mb/sec on 3 4G here in Bray a few minutes ago when I was grabbing a few audiobooks using uTorrent, dont really do a lot of downloading on the phone though. At the weekends I can watch unlimited Youtube, FilmOn or 4oD etc without it stopping to buffer once, thats the main plus Ive noticed of 4G over 3G.

Getting a lot of "This app is not compatible with your device" messages on the Play Store lately like this one this morning:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=94055484&utm_source=notification&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=notification#post94055484

Is that because Im rooted? Or because Im on an old firmware? Any other ideas?

I bought a smart watch and the apk doesnt work on the oneplus one.
some apps dont work probably cos of Cm but im not 100% certain why that is

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,183 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

Well the apks always work when I grab them from Kickass torrents and sideload them Im just wondering why the Play store is being a dick about it.

I had issues with "this app is not compatible with your device".

I bet that you have changed the DPI size? This seems to cause the app store to have a crap attack about compatibility with some of it's apps, amazon for example.

I just download them from one of the APK sites, have never had a problem that way.

Up until recently I used to receive notifications on my phone that were taken (I Assume) from my email account, calendar, amazon or eBay, but TBH i really haven't the foggiest where they came from but they just appeared and i found them very useful.

For example If I am due to go to the airport I will get a notification to leave now in order to make it on time or if I purchased something on amazon or eBay I would also be notified that the item shipped, but as of lately, there has been nothing at all...

I have activated the Google now in Trebuchet but when i swipe right it just shows me my search history and no cards, but if I open the google app it displays news cards etc, but I am not really interested in this ....

Can anyone shed any light as to why I have stopped receiving this notifications and how I go about getting them back.
I did also download Google Now but I didn't really like the minor differences it made to the User interface...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    I use this one.

Fits no problem and it is very steady.

My OPO seems to have issues picking up WiFi. I Connect at home all is fine, then connect to work WiFi and that is fine. But when I return home phone doesn't connect to home network and instead is on mobile network. When I scan for wifi my home network is showing as out of reach? And I can't connect. The only fix is to forget the wifi network in settings and reboot phone and re-enter the wifi.

anyone else have these wifi issues. Any thoughts on a fix. Should I do a backup, full wipe and start over?

Apart from the above I'm loving this phone

I was having this - for some reason it was my Horizon Wi-Free messing it up. Deleted that and it's been perfect ever since.

I did a full wipe before this and it didn't help.
