Any idea how easy something like that would be to install? As in how likely would I be to burn down the house/electrocute myself if I did it myself? :)

I'm no spark, but I imagine it is a straight swap of connections.
Just be sure to switch off the sockets circuit on the main board first..:)

Is it safe to charge using a generic wall charger or could there be voltage issues?

Pretty accessible, it was just a couple of keypresses in and out of each menu from the camera app

(First time I've used them, no idea what any of it meant :))

ISO basically makes the sensor more sensitive to light. So if you're in a dark room increase ISO to brighten up the picture.

Aperture basically makes the background go blurry behind what you're taking a picture of, lower numbers blurry, higher numbers everythings in focus.

Shutter speed just takes the picture real quick, so if you're taking a picture of someone running and their legs are all blurry increase the shutter speed and he'll be frozen perfectly in the photo.

Interesting. I'm not much of a snapper, so much of this is lost on me but I shall endeavor to take less shît photos from now on :pac:

I came across this photography blog where he tests out the one plus one, and found it performs "admirably well"

Increasing ISO can also lead to increased noise in the image.

As did I. I ordered two from their UK web store before Christmas and both shipped with UK charger.

This range of chargers provide a decent and fast charging alternative..

The basics of photography aren't actually that hard to learn. It's basically those 3 variables and how they interact. That chapter in a photography book can be quite short.

There's a really good photography forum here if you ever do decide to make use of those settings on your camera, they can have you quite proficient in no time.

So did my invoice months ago but it was just the USA plug and a poundshop adapter.

Yeah I got a USA plug and a poundshop adapter too...is there somewhere I can order the official three pin one? Although I shouldn't really have to....

Could be worth a look when the time comes to replace my OPO - http://www.theverge.com/2015/1/15/7550903/xiaomi-mi-note-announced-specs-price

Similar dimensions but slightly bigger screen and 2mm thinner which is a lot.

Received my phone last week after ordering from the UK site. It doesn't have the cyanogen logo printed on the back. Should I be worried?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,183 ✭✭✭✭Thargor

    Is it running Cyanogen?

What operating system is it running? Once it says cyanogen when booting up then all is fine.

Loads of posts on the opo forum about it. One Plus have said they've changed them obviously something to do with what Is going on in India.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13 james12326

Says its running Cyanogen 11.0 - XNPH44S. Would they have stopped printing the logo on the back cover?

Sorry just seen Lucas' post there, seems to explain it!

That happens me as well. I was just thinking it was to do with the app adfree I have installed. Do you have any ad blocker apps installed?

Hi, sorry don't know if this is the right place to post, but thought I could definitely get an answer here. Was looking at the one plus one before Christmas, but a massive deal breaker for me was the lack of availability of Sky Go for it as it's an app I would use very frequently. However I've heard now through HUKD that Sky Go is compatible on all devices running Android 4.0 plus. Can anyone confirm this? are there any other apps that won't run. I'm sorry if this has already been posted, I may have missed it! Thanks in Advance!

I tried sky go recently, and it allowed me sign in and then told me my phone was not compatible.

I've never got Sky Go working outside of Samsung devices. The app just refuses to run on any other devices.

Could anyone recommend a case? I don't usually get cases but I also don't usually buy expensive fancy phones. I'm not sure what I'm looking for

I had originally bought the cover on the opo site but IMO that was crap. I got this one on eBay about a month ago and much prefer it. cover has a bit of lip so if you lie it face down the screen is not flat on the surface. I would however recommend that you get a screen protector to avoid scratches as obviously this type of cover won't help against that. unfortunately if you are looking for a flip cover I have no recommendations there, not a fan of those myself!

Tudia cases are pretty great. i went with a tempered glass screen. I would avoid the flip cases though, they offer no protection at all.

Did you log in and watch something though?
The app works to a point but when you try and watch something it tells you the device is not compatible or some other BS.
