    CEX offered me €244 for mine and was sorely tempted to upgrade but I might just hang on and see what the LG G5 is like - rumoured to be metal bodied. On the other hand I waited for the Nexus 6p and ended up returning it. Decisions, decisions......

    What condition is your phone in?
    Mine is in pretty good nick - no marks on the back, but recently got an annoying scrape on the screen (which is just on the coating apparently - can't feel it with my finger - and only visible in certain light) and there's a couple of small nicks in the silver surround of the phone (minor).
    I have the box and accessories as received in March.

    I'm looking at doing a deal with CEX but haven't got in to them yet.

    I've had it for about a year and it's in perfect condition - always cased and have had a tempered glass screen protector on it from the start.

    Meteor/Eir Mobile use band 3 (in the cities) and band 20 (mostly outside cities).

    The OPO does not have band 20 reception so you will not get 4G in some locations but it will work fine in others (it is actually a very good network).

    Best bet is to road test a 4G meteor sim where you live, work and play.

    Thanks - tweeted Meteor and they confirmed that OPO bands are covered by Meteor.

    They use both band 3 (1800mhz) and 20 (800mhz), the OPO doesn't support band 20. Band 20, the lower frequencies will mostly used for rural masts.

    Help! I just wiped and reinstalled, and my gps/maps is not working. When I open maps the location showing is miles away, hundreds of meters at best. If I try to do do directions, it doesn't move.

    What can I do to reset or troubleshoot this?

    I hope Marshmallow is good, phone's been quite sluggish of late and not great battery life. The screen adjuster also seems to have stopped working

    Phone is acting very funny, screen not working intermittently, keyboard not working. Just since the last incremental update

    Factory reset is always the place to start

    Yeah possibly. Just picked phone up and it was powered down. Powered it on and there's plenty of battery left

    Has anyone else found that their battery life has gotten worse since the last update?

    Just updated to Cyanogenmod 13 through nightlies. Bad idea. No mobile data afterwards, best to avoid for today at least.

    Dirty flash or full wipe Mark?

  • Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 11,283 Mod ✭✭✭✭MarkR

    Dirty, then full wipe. Which sounds awful! :D

    Going back to a backup now.

    Sounds rotten :pac:

    Radio must be screwy then!

    I'm probably gonna wait for Exodus anyway!

    The following fix works for me.
    Note: Every time you do a full update you will have to redo the fix, I don't know why they won't add it to the build.

    Using ES File Explorer and ES Note Editor as super user.

    Edit /system/build.prop. Change
    ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=fluence
    to
    ro.qc.sdk.audio.fluencetype=none

    Edit /system/etc/audio_platform_info.xml
    <device name="SND_DEVICE_IN_HANDSET_MIC" acdb_id="40" />
    to
    <device name="SND_DEVICE_IN_HANDSET_MIC" acdb_id="4" />
    Reboot. - It will not work till you reboot/restart your phone.

    Let us know how you get on.

    Thanks RealistSpy. I've been away and had a nightmare with people constantly telling me they couldn't hear me at all or that I sounded like I was on speaker phone but standing 10 feet away from the phone.

    I'm not too techie so I'm going to try the other proposed solution which is to just turn off "OK Google" in Google Now and see if that does the trick. If not I'll give your solution a go as I can't use the phone when I'm losing so many calls.

    Updated to latest cyanogemod nightly today (marhmallow). Initially had the same problem, but tried something someone mentioned on xda and toggled wifi and airplane mode. Up and running anyway, with no issues to report yet.

    You'd be as well hold on for a decent marshmallow. I investigated two weeks ago and it was too early but give it another week or two should be stable roms.

    I'm holding on a snapshot sultan rom. No issues. Will wait for a marshmallow snapshot.

    I did a factory reset and phone has gotten a new lease of life, plus a lot of the apps updated even though they said they had updated to the latest versions before the reset.

    Anybody getting "Google Play Services has stopped" anytime they turn on GPS? Happens all the time and nothing I do can get rid of it. Tried force stopping and clearing the cache of both Google Play Services and Framework app. Also tried uninstalling all the updates for the services app but no cigar. Im on CM 12.1-YOG4PAS3JL but have no updates available.

    Fixed that for a lad in work before, trying to remember what I did, try going to settings - apps - 3 dots top corner and reset app preferences.

    Anyone have any luck in getting MyVodafone app to work on OPO? Getting 'cannot installed on rooted device'.
