For people who are running Exodus, how often do you install the nightlies?

I'm still super impressed with Exodus after switching a couple of weeks ago and in that time I haven't downloaded any of the OTA updates because I'm happy with the rom as is. Am I missing anything?

I've not updated as the latest version needs wipe as it's based on different source code. I'll have time in a few days

After having heard stuff about the One+1, I (stupidly) wrote it off as a cheapo pretender, but a one of the guys in work has one, and I had a quick play with it.

    :o

My god, that's a nice phone.

I'm out of contract on my HTC One (M7) now, and looking for a new phone. Has anyone migrated from HTC to One+1? How does the sound compare? I'm still well impressed with the stereo speakers on the One, obviously the +1 doesn't have them (or does it?)

Not sure if I could be assed waiting for the +2, especially if it's going to be 2016.

Speakers are plenty loud on the 1+1, my OH agrees, especially with the alarm i have :)

Anyone else's ever gone unresponsive and turned off randomly? Happened for the 2nd time this morning, lasted around an hour or two both times. On stock, very little settings changed on the phone.

2 in a few months isn't too bad but if it keeps going I'd rather have it fixed that not. Just wondering if it's something I'm doing.
Mine did this before but not on lollipop or since i updated to new incremental update

    Which one needs a wipe?

I'm running the nightly from 12th June, will I need to wipe?

If you installed straight to 5.1 you'll be fine to OTA update. You were supposed to wipe when going from 5.0.2 to 5.1 as it's based on different source code, in fact the nighties stopped for a few weeks because of this until they were ready to release 5.1. I'm still on the last 5.02 nightly which was dated 1st may, Exodus 5.1 was released about 2 weeks ago, the latest nightlies are 5.1.1r4

Ah sweet, I clean installed Exodus on 12th as CM12.1 was falling to pieces on my phone. I should be okay to flash the newest nightlies then :D

Used to happen to me all the time on one of the old firmwares. I'd suggest flashing the latest if you haven't already.

Yeah, you should be should. As with any ROM be careful of incremental updates. I'd always full wipe every 2-3 updates for the stability it brings, it's cleaner. Get a backup system in place in case something goes wrong and you have to wipe

Big +1 on EXODUS - very smooth & snappy.

If you plan to use any XPOSED modules, the versions to use are here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61471500&postcount=3959

I have dirty flashed a few of the nightly ROMs and am currently on 2206 and it seems to be fine (for all of 1 hour thus far).

As mentioned, make sure you have a good backup regime in place if flashing nightly ROM on a regular basis - the vast majority are good but sods-law dictates that sooner of later one will cause issues.

With regards XPOSED, I currently have the power saving modules (Greenify+, DS battery saver & Amplify) disabled. Trying to gauge what the EXODUS battery performance is like - seems good so far.

Any good XPOSED modules or is it worth the hassle?

Be careful, not all support 5.1, I made a list of the few I use known to work a few pages back

    Good thinking, thanks!
I think I put every nightly from the middle of March to the middle of May onto the phone without a fresh install (only the first one), so I might have ballsed up the phone doing that myself :pac:

How long would it take to ship a one plus one to my Irish address these days?

I wanna go for it since I think most of the wrinkles plaguing this device have been finally cleared up...

Its going to be shipped with oxygen or are they still preloading them with CM? I want the 16gb one.

Has always been about 3-4 working days from order, that is if you can get one. It still ships with Cyanogen

Is that all the way from China? Just 3 to 4 days...

For those that were having touchscreen issues, I installed the latest patch today and the improvement is excellent. Haven't had a missed touch all afternoon and I was struggling to get through a short text beforehand.

I installed an update last Friday that was supposed to improve the unresponsive touch. It improved a for about 5 minutes and it's back to it's worst state again now today already.

You'll most likely need to wipe

Anyone having any issues with disabling MTP USB connection? I've tried unticking the box but it's just gone unresponsive for a few minutes now.

OnePlus 2 is getting USB type C. Suppose I need to get rid of some of my micro USB cables anyway.

You should really go for the 64gb one. I have a 16gb nexus and the lack of space is a disaster. You will find it hard to sell on a 16gb model.

What's the major difference with exodus?

I'm running a cm12.1 nightly from early to mid May and have zero problems and great battery but now you guys have me tempted to change!

I finally got around to re-rooting my phone after installing the OTA update last night. My root privileges disappeared months ago after one of the OTA updates and I never bothered to get it back. I have re-discovered the joy that is Tasker.

Set up a profile today for work - If I am near SSID1/SSID2/SSID3, turn off locations services, put phone on silent, mute media volume, hibernate using greenify.

Overall my impressions with this phone is mixed, on CM11 it was battery drain now with CM 12 gps does not work at all, wrong location, does not update even when set to high accuracy mode. hard reset or gps fix apps does not fix problem.

I know it was discussed in earlier post but for clarification can anyone give links on how to install exodus, i think I will give it a go, that or use tethering and use old iphone 5 for gps and maps ;o
