Well fair play if you're sticking them :) I'm not great at irish so I'm gonna put in minimal effort at HL (because my teacher won't let me drop) and pick up another subject for points. Hopefully it'll work out..

How do you know that?:L Cos I just learned off reams of vocab and stuff off by heart for the JC but I'm awful at speaking it and I'd have to put loads of effort in, think I'd have a better chance at another subject :P

I'd probably go for Human Genetics in TCD or Biomedical, Health and Life Sciences in UCD. I'd love to work for NASA with the Astrophysics but i prefer biology and like NASA is an unlikely goal tbh

I'm conflicted with what I want to do.

At the moment I'm gearing towards any field in biology, although particularly genetics and diseases.

    I also want to do bio-engineering ...

Don't get me started with aeronautical engineering ...

Wonder if there's something that has all of them combined

Planning to study at Trinity, because of how close it is to me and my experience so far with it.

Well if u do general engineering you can specialise in third year, same with science. Highty recommend Human Genetics or immunology in Trinity for those two

Or human health and disease, also in trinity. Only issue is points are very high, think Human Genetics is 565 human health and disease is 535 and general science is 515

Yeah, but I don't know if the specialisations are the same for Science and Engineering (if you do Biomedical for Science and Engineering, is it basically the same class + degree?).

Engineering is pretty low points (low 400s) so it's a nice alternative if people don't get their first ambitions.

I actually emailed both of the schools today, asking about this. Will update when I get a reply.

Honest question people- do you people take salary into consideration for your courses/future job prospects?

Not really I'd prefer to do something I like for little money than have a massive salary but hate my job. But a big salary is a plus I guess :)

There's so many jobs i would love to do but it seems illogical due to lack of jobs etc
