its built like a battleship ( and I really mean that!) - Same as the SR7008 above - its only been in the Demo room so its in really excellent condition and has hardly been used - so happy to do the full 2 year warranty with it!

As you probably know its not just a great CD player - its also a serious High End Digital preamp and DAC - its as good a DAC as the Stream Magic 6, which is a £700 stand alone DAC - there are several digital inputs and USB inputs as well as analogue and professional XLR outputs - it of course can also act as the hub for your music on your PC or MAC.

Hi,

As at matter of interest, whats best price for the Stream Magic 6 ?.

I may be wrong but the 851C uses Dual Analog Devices AD1955 24 bit DACs and
the Stream Magic Dual Wolfson WM8740 24-bit DACs.

Is there much of a difference in audio performance as the streaming side is a bonus, but audio performance paramount for me and the bonus of a CD player is plus for us ole audiophiles

No mention of delivery price, shall I take it is free, maybe worth a shout ....

By the way John, I was having a pint with some old pals at a big celebration weekend down at Lakelands recently, (T.C. my old 80's alma mater), and as I'm know to be a bit of an A/V tech geek fanboy, my advice was called upon. I recommended yourself & Dave and goodness what a very small world it is. Couple of our aul' boys send their regards, maybe chat to you about that again. If you haven't been there in a while, you wouldn't believe the old club as it is today. The layout is the exact same, but all refurbished & now kept like new. Everything looks new, warm, bright & inviting, do you remember that old smelly carpet - Gone, no more carpets, even the jax are now spotless . (Big change from my days).

The reason there is two links below is that one link is for the speaker pack and the other for the subwoofer.
Both links make up the one 5.1 speaker pack.

To be able to connect your items to the speaker pack you would also require a home cinema receiver to connect the speakers to.
