FSA FPL Rate My Team Thread 2014-15

What do y'all think?
I'm hoping to rotate Siggy, Ward-Prowse into the team as needed.

I've been going round in circles tonight. I can't make my mind up over goalkeepers and defenders at all.

So far I have nailed down as certs being:

Rooney
Costa
Ramsey
Mata
Fabregas

and that's it.

I still can't decide whether to go with Sanchez or not. It would be easier to start with him and downgrade if he's not performing instead of ripping the team up to try and get him in if he starts well. But I want Ramsey too...having the two of them could be a masterstroke especially now with Pulis-less Palace rocking up at the weekend.

And now with Pulis gone. I fear the one I don't own will go on a scoring spree.

Im not sure about Young. I get that he is a nailed on starter but playing wing back I can't see him getting forward enough to justify giving up a midfield spot to accommodate him. Plus the fact he doesn't get the defensive points is ruling him out for me.

its that time of the week where everyones fretting, a good start can give you serious peace of mind and not have you worrying about early wildcards

Anybody want to set up a league for this thread oor is there one?

Would ye go with Cameron (stoke home to villa) or Caulker (Rangers at home to Hull) - that's my big selecton dilemma at the minute

My team is

De Gea

Terry - Debuchy - Cameron / Caulker

Mata - Ramsey - Eriksen - Sterling

Rooney - Bojan - Jovetic

Bench: Myhill - Sigurdsson - Cameron / Caulker - Wisdom

Sigurdsson will rotate with Eriksen / Sterling I'm hoping - I've .5 there to play with if needs be, probably switch Jovetic to Lukaku if Everton start hot

What do ppl think about Tadic for Southampton? He had a great scoring/ assist rate in the Eredivise. Bit of a gamble though.

I think he will start on Saturday and play the first few games at least as Mertesacker improves his fitness. So I'm thinking he will probably be an early transfer but will hopefully have risen in price.

I'll be monitoring Wengers presser tomorrow though to see if he gives any indications about Chambers.

Have had Siggy pencilled in to my team from the start but considering Mutch instead now. Scored an impressive number of goals and assists last season for a very poor team. I don't know if I'm reading too much into Siggy's great loan spell at Swansea a couple of years back. Tough choice but that extra 0.5 could come in very handy for improving my bench.

serious front 7 - bit of arsenal overkill with sanchez and ramsey .. you could have silva / sterling / eriksen for the price of alexis and could upgrade van aanholt then maybe ..

Wouldn't have Coleman - too expensive now and poor fixtures
Chelsea defender would be better choice instead of Zab
Ward and Puncheon no go after Pulis departure
Yaya overpriced
Better options than Osman at 5.5-6m
Lukaku inconsistent
No United, Arsenal or Chelsea attacker..

Have had little to no time to look at this before today. I've come up with the following:

Begovic, Green
Terry, Blackett, Rio, van Aanholt, Hutton
Hazard, Mata, Ramsey, Siggy, Marney
Rooney, Giroud, Dzeko.

I've 0.5 in the bank. Am I missing anything obvious?
Defence is pretty weak looking, I had another version with Debuchy instead of PVA and Eriksen instead of Ramsey.
I'd like Eriksen instead of Siggy, but can"t see how.
I would go DDG + 4.0 + Cameron/Wilson instead of keepers above and Blackett but no one seems to know how the Stoke defence will look.

Happy with the gks, chambers will be gone once mert is back, missing the big hitters in mf and fw but should all score pts. Is Silva worth 9m?

Nice team something very minor Id change hamer to elliot newcastle's 2nd keeper atleast if krul gets injured/suspended you will then have a keeper. Not convinced on bojan myself but can see why people are going for him.

My own team I think this is finally the team Ill go with barring some last minute team news.

Could change get 50/50 between Lamela and Eriksen. Eriksen should be taking set pieces though so that's why I went for him. Not sure the story with Courtois either, but presuming Mourinho will surely try him at the start.

interesting fact i just discovered: in Siggy's previous spell with Swansea, just 1 of his 7 league goals were scored at home!!

Well that was a record I'm already unhappy with that team back to the drawing board tomorrow.
