Oh god yes. I got save the world and made about 6k++ vbucks on it and had in total about 7.5k, so I got 25 tier battlepass. So in the end:

5 from last season bonus
25 from battle pass
3 daily quests brought oger from last season
All week 1 challanges done.

I did last season from a scratch to tier 100 and level 71, but it was a grind and sucked a lot of fun out of game. I did not played anything else. So I decided just to buy initial 25 tiers to give me more time and flexibility.

Can be a grind alright. If I hadn't built up enough free vbucks from last season i wouldn't have bought this battlespass. Side note what's save the world like? Would you recommend?

Honestly? I bought it to make some v bucks in a long run. And I made about 5k in two weeks, but in the end I liked saved the world so much I played it full time for the last 3 weeks off season 4. And still playing it.

Word on the street Save the World will be going F2P soon. Any idea how people who paid for it will be compensated? And once its F2P do you reckon you can earn as much V-Bucks off it? No doubt they will dial it back some...

F2P save the world will not allow you to earn VBucks from it, only people with a founders pack will be able to earn from it.

I really dont think its as soon as people speculate. Like there are only two full acts with proper quest system and the other two just place holders. We will be getting third act soon, but even then it took very long time.
Performance, general balance and polish is not even near BR level. Its very easy to see where the money is going right now.

In my opinion going free to play this year would be very very bad idea. As for the rewards, its a good question. Save the world still is heavy balanced around v bucks and if you want stuff, you will need to spend v bucks. So nerfing it a lot will make it very hard game. Even if I use primarily v bucks for br season passes, I still spend some of them on certain lamas. One decent lama can cost from 200 to 1000 v bucks!!!

STW Special editions are going back on sale this week.

The founders version is being re released minus the buddy codes.

Just heads up for all xbox people here. Save the world is on sale. 20eu for standard edition and 30eu for deluxe. They have other two editions on sale too.

For 20eu you can male a ton of v bucks with a bit of effort amd the game is actually fun.

I just played a round of golf on lazy links with a bunch of randomers in 50 v 50 :pac: the holes are numbered and everything. The golf carts kind of remind of crash bandicoot back in the day the way you can build up boost by sliding. Pretty sure our team lost that one since about 20 of us died to the circle at lazy links. I wish id recorded it.

I though I will not get a win in new season as it looked like kids discovered sugar and were on rampage!
I was wrong! Just got my first season win with 5 kills! Woot woot! Wanted to play one last game before going to bank so tried out rescue trooper with unicorn back for ****s and giggles. Looks like its my lucky unicorn after all.

Just to note a few things I discovered for myself in season 5:

Using those buggies is pretty much suicide pact. They are so loud and you just attract attention. I never used them, haven't even been in one yet, but I have killed so many people who just give out their position like that.
Loud gliders goes to same category. Specially when you use them a lot more in this season with rifts. Thats how last man went in the game I just won. I heard him glide and knew exactly where he was. He put himself in to massive disadvantage.
Shotguns are **** now. I dont even carry them anymore. My favourite load out now is dual pistols, smg ( any ), AR or scoped AR then meds and shields.
Smg is a king.

We had some dude in my squad keeping scores. We had to try get it in from the tee in the least amount of attempts. We all died to the circle :pac:

Whats the story with the treasure map in risky reels? I've not been to that part of the map yet. That and the lama are the only weekly challenges I have left.

They added another SMG today. The grey and green ones aren't great but the blue one is good. I've kind of stopped carrying shotguns now, I prefer the tac smg or the dual pistols.

The treasure is in the tunnel south of Tomato Town. It's not inside but on the little concrete ledge above the entrance of northern side of the tunnel.


I'm still missing the Llama one too. Played a bit today but still no luck.

I've put in serious hours today and what to have to show for it? One paltry solo win out of I dunno how many games :pac: I'm not sure if I'm getting worse or everyone else is getting better!

I had an incredibly frustrating second place yesterday. Had the lad down to 30 health but the two of us were having an absolute nightmare. Storm was on the final setting where the safe zone pops up deeper into the storm. At that stage the storm kills you in about two seconds and that's exactly what happened. Lad who won had zero kills.

Was determined after that that I was going to do it there and then but didn't get a kill in the next five games so just threw in the towel.

As I said before: I am pretty sure kids discovered sugar in season 5. I am finding it a lot harder now and see a lot better players. I genuinely though I will go all this season without a single solo win. Its summer holidays, so a lot of these demons going ham in Fortnite and us old farts can barely compete.
I did do a break for last two weeks of season 4, so that did not help. Changes to weapons brings you backto square one of learning curve. All that learning to pew pew with shotguns is useless. If you dont have smg - you dead. Just keep and eye mid/late game kill feed. Majority killd are Smg!

Finally found a Llama!!!

I was playing Duos with a mate and he too still hadn't found one. Jumped from the bus and as we were nearing the ground, he spotted a Llama. He immediately steered his glider towards it and opened it. Not gonna lie, I was a bit mad that he spotted it 1st :pac:

Then 5 minutes later as we were heading to the next circle, I spot a Llama chillin halfway up the side of a mountain. Both of us spent days lookin for a Llama to no avail, and then we find 2 in the same game :P

Bought the PvE version as it's 50% off on psn. Have to say I'm really enjoying it so far and clocking up some vbucks along the way so happy out! I'll have 20euro worth of vbucks in no time and then the base game was basically free

Tips for any new STW players, your power level dictates the damage a weapon does.

So a 102 Siegebreaker in a level 20 hands might do 5k damage, in a level 50 players hands it will do 25k damage.

Dont upgrade any schematics beyond Silver until late Plankerton. You simply wont get enough Malachite until level 28+ in Plankerton.

Your power level is dictated by your survivor squads, level them up and you level up. Defender squads are utterly useless, recycle them all and put the XP into your heroes.

Your SSD design is best kept simple dont build mad things you cant defend, a Pyramid will suffice for Stonewood and Plankerton, then when you get to SSD7 level up your traps and put them down using a constructor (uses less resources).

When playing with others do the objective, dont be an AFK leech. If you want llamas do other players SSDs (play with others on the map screen) that is the best way to help others and help yourself, some nights I would have 40 or 50 of them to open.

Trading for weapons is pointless and a waste of time due to the power level.

Dunno if update today or last week but the Canny Valley quest chain has been opened, never knew how much I missed the voices between missions. Also the desert biome is now there for a good chunk of the missions, really nice break from endless green hills of Stonewood and Plankerton.

Its today, I held off on going there until last week, A month nearly wandering around Plank doing other peoples SSDs.

Would like to complete the Horde but cant get 4 players at the same time to agree a challenge number.

You can change once a day your daily mission. So just change it m8. I dont have friends too ( insert forever alone meme here ), but at least if I get that daily on day off I have daughter who is only happy to play a few games with me.

In regard to changing daily challenges it doesn't seem the change is totally random. I changed a squad based challenge 3 times over the last few days and keep getting either place top 12 in squads or outlive opponents in squad. Was i just super unlucky?

Yep just unlucky. Same thing's happened to me many times. When I keep getting squad based challenges several days in a row, I give up changing it and just complete it and get it out of the way.
